Hello all the peoples and all your cool identities!

I'm coming to terms with being a queer transwoman/androgyn. Why the slash? My identity tends to fluctuate, some days I identify and feel strongly female, but most days I don't feel particularly or 100% male or female. There are even the rare days I identify as male.

Anyways, now for the idea and I can't take credit for this. My friend Devin came up with it. He takes all of the clothing he buys and "ungenders" them by tearing/cutting out any and all tags that respects gender at all. Society can't gender us, nor can it gender our clothing! I am gong to copy this idea and go through ALL my clothing, that's right even the "male" clothing, and make it mine completely without tags, without gender. Then I'm going to toss them all in a big pile, roll around and then sort by color and long sleeve/short sleeve, dark jeans and light jeans, etc.

And now for updates! I'm beginning to really move away from the "support" community in my area. Starting to just go back to doing things, like going out to eat with friends, shopping, playing video games. I started playing the bass guitar about 3 weeks ago and am having a great time doing that. I have also decided to just stop worrying about some things that transwoman stereotypically worry about. Like where I pee. Unless I presenting really feminine which is rare these days. I tend to dress more like androgynous rockers and can get into the mens room pee and leave with no problem and doing that has no impact on my gender. I don't care about passing, no one is going to read me as a me anyways.

I am enjoying having a boyfriend in every capacity.

I went to visit with friends from college to celebrate some birthdays. My birthday is next in the rotation and I don't want to have two separate birthday celebrations like I did last year: one with friends from college who I am not out to, one with my trans-friends from around here. There is a way to make that happen and that is to come out to them. I don't want some big epic deal about it, all I am going to do is link them to the facebook profile they don't know about and be like, "Hey this is my active profile. It might raise some questions and feel free to ask them." I think it'll be cool. Coming out as bi and having a boyfriend was basically a non event for the ones who found out, now coming out as gender variant will be different but I don't think it will shake our friendships.

Also, button down shirts and vest, I need MOAR!!!!1111!!11!11

Good point, Orva. Why sort anything in our lives into the "male and female" boxes? I already do this to an extent, as in my closset and dressers aren't organized into male and female, its all sorta thrown together.
