Let's see we have Metal Gear Solid, Chrono Trigger, Ocarina Of Time, Megaman X 1-5, Sonic 1-3 & Knuckles, Final Fantasy 4-6, Zone of The Enders 1 & 2, Imperishable Night, Mario 3, Ikaruga, A link to the Past, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Doom, Diablo, Command & Conquer, Okami, WInd Waker, Castlevania 3, Symphony of the Night, Rondo of Blood, Megaman Zero 1-4, Megaman 2-3 (maybe I should stop now) Disgaea 1-4, King Of the Fighters 98, Ys 7, Donkey Kong Country 1-2 and I saved the best for last Persona 3 the holy grail of video games. Oh I've probably forgotten some but if every game was destroyed besides these I think I'd be alright.

Oh I now also feel the need to state my sheer devout love of the Legacy of Kain series, every game in that series was perfect, the voice acting better than most films I have seen, the storyline was one of the few in games that was consistent, well thought and multi layered that run throughout the entire series. It was just perfect.

And the char some of the deepest and most "human" ever, Raziel and Kain bounced so well off of each other, by the end of Defiance I felt I had lost good friends in them, I was overcome with a sense of sadness when I realised I would never see them again :( now they are talking about rebooting the franchise on X-Box Live and I wish I wasn't seeing them again, how can you dare reboot a series that was this perfect? This so tountly wound up at the end with no plotholes whatsoever and one with such high production values and then put on X-Box Live Arcade? It. Isn't. Right.

The only way i can see me liking LOK games making a return is if they were remade exactly the same just with modern graphics. Even then it would be hard to come anywhere close to as good as the originals.

You are so right! I don't even think its the same cast of writers or actors working on it, they are redesigning the char designs and models too and changing the story..... It fills me with rage... o_O and the original series was known for its graphics and the dark, gothic beauty of Nosgoth, I cannot see it being anymore impressive than the visuals on The Magic Roundabout if its not even a proper console game

In case anyone who reads this hasn't completed the games I will just say, at the end of Defiance you could continue the story in so many directions, it wouldn't effect the plot of the original series all that much as it was so perfectly wrapped up but you could have seen where Kain and Raziel's story ended up!

I know for a fact that the guy who voiced the elder god wont be in it as he has sadly passed on. :(

Oh noes :( thats terrible news! He really made the Elder God come alive, even though you pretty much only ever hear him as a disembodied voice he was always so frightening and menacing, you definitely, especially in Soul Reaver 2, had the feeling he was always there, watching you in the shadows, it made a game where you have the near infinite powers of Raziel feel closed in and as if he could strike you at anytime, anywhere, thats just the power of truly great voice acting. It won't be the same without him methinks :(

I always liked Raziel's voice the best, it was strong, defiant and with that air of pompisity he carries himself with, no matter what you always know he so sure of himself, so sure he is right even when he is so hypoctirical and possibly in some ways as cocky as Kain himself. I love that about him, he is the hero of the series in a sense and he knows it all too well, completely ignorant to any flaws he may have. Series writer Amy Hennig described him as "a self rightous little twit" which I thought was delightful, that sums up Raziel to me

I think Amy Hennig simply said "it would be stupid if he couldn't talk and it wouldn't be very cool" LOL a rather eloquent response from one of gamings greatest writers. You know she writes Jak and Daxter and Uncharted too? One seriously cool woman right thar! :D

Xenoblade Chronicles, Final Fantasy IX and Pokemon White come to mind. They're all fantastic games.

Final Fantasy IX is an incredible game :) the char crack and sparkle with life and personality, the world is rich and textured, breathtaking environments and a beautiful soundtrack. Wondrous after the overly grim and dark VIII IMHO of course

Oh yeppy I love Uncharted its a fabulous series and so true to her writing style, vivid dialogue and brilliant char! I know most people would pick say someone like David Bowie, Brian Wilson or an actor or world leader but I'd love to have dinner with Amy Hennig, one of the best writers around, if Lou Reed brought the literary highs of great novels to rock *and he did!* then she did it with games. That scene in Soul Reaver 2 with Raziel and Kain at the Pillars of Nosgoth took my breath away and afterwards I did a slow clap!

Yeah, FF9 is the best FF, though I enjoy almost every single other one except 2 and the MMOs.

I forgot about Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time. They were great games. I never beat the shadow temple though. I was too scared, I was only 8 I think.

I played Wind Waker when I was about 12 or 13. I beat it then and it was one of the best games I've played I think.

I also think of Majora's Mask as a masterpiece even though when I played it, I was frankly crap at it and never finished it. After reading into the lore of it though I can understand how it all fit together. It's really a wondrous piece and I think I'd enjoy replaying it.

Some other old games. Castlevania, only played it on an emulator. Battle for Olympus (I think that was the name.).

Mega Man 2. (Learning songs from that game on guitar. :) )

I also played Legacy of Kain(e?) but never really got the context. Probably because I was stupid and started with Defiance. Though I'd like to play through the series for the story now that I'm a bit more.. perceptive. I've that the series is a masterpiece from other people.

Ocarina of Time was my life growing up along with Final Fantasy VII, the main theme still makes my heart beat race and makes me feel I am about to embark upon a truly special adventure, few things can fill with me such childlike wonder and a sense of excitement and adventure like that game can and I don't think I am alone at all in that. I quite like Wind Waker but I just never dug the artistic direction the game took or the sailing parts, I am pretty alone in that one I am sure! :P but it never resonated with me, maybe I just couldn't look past Ocarina even at that point. Still Twilight Princess is definitely on par with Ocarina, the Game Cube version though. I hate the Wii.

OMG OMG OMG GO YOU AND PLAY LEGACY OF KAINNNNNN!!! Like right now, this second, their really is nothing you are doing thats more important than playing that game :D NOTHING! So go, go play it, I suggest you get the PC version of Blood Omen BTW, the graphics are better than the PSX port and it just runs smoother. Well, now you really have no excuse not to be playing it do you?

It is a game where any problems in the game play can be excused due to the story being so involved, the gaming mechanics come secondary to the gothic soap opera you get to watch unfold. Not that the series isn't a fine action adventure series :P

I've been seeing my new treating doctor for quite some time now, whenever I'm advised to make an appointment. When it comes to seeing a new treating doctor, hard part is starting all over again building trust between patient and doctor. On my first day seeing my new treating doctor, before I could say anything else to her, she explained to me I needed to be completely honest with her. I kind of expected that type of patient profiling response from her, since she doesn't specialize in intersex care. Anyway, I sat down in the chair as I explained to my new doctor, I don't have all of my hospital records, certain records from my childhood and teenager years are mysteriously missing regarding a surgery. After my examination was over, she disregarded or showed no interest in searching for my missing medical records, but instead she blamed me for how I take care of my health today.

Then today I got looking I did order the right ones the first time. All the paper work that I have says front even the last work order said fronts. I told the other boss. So, Have I gotten a sorry from the boss. Ha, ha, not yet. I am doubting I will ever get one.   Oh, well. life goes on.   Kymmie

While I agree with a lot of the campaign personally, I don't think a government-mandated reduction in childbirth is really necessary. As a young person, I hardly know anyone who wants to be a parent in the future. I think a lot of people will either be waiting a while or not having kids at all, meaning that the number of kids being born will probably decrease. Overcrowding's also mostly an urban issue -- plenty of places in rural America have plenty of space for both people and growing food.    Of course, everyone sees things differently, so I won't necessarily say you're wrong. I just think my generation is a lot less inclined to the family mindset than some that came before us.

To me, it sounds like a solution searching for a problem.  I believe in the Russian perspective, that oil is abiotic and likely under every part of the Earth's surface.  There's plenty.  "Peak oil" and "climate" are excuses for government control.   As for roads, we use asphalt because tar and bitumen are a byproduct of fuel production, not the other way around.  Asphalt is not a great material, really.  It can also be recycled somewhat and used again.  Notice how road crews grind down existing asphalt into powder? Concrete is a better material for roads.  But in areas like where I live, very little of our roads are paved.  Gravel is a luxury, and a lot of roads are mud.  Same in many "developing" nations.  Pavement is better for transport, but its not like we would die without it.  Lack of pavement might actually be a good thing, as people might stay home more and food might be grown locally instead of relying on transportation.  It would stop this wacky idea of growing everything in California.     I believe the big crisis we face is globalism and government control.  Proposing some scheme to control our families? That's just more of the same.  Even if folks managed to get enough votes (or rig enough elections) to get the power to do that, it won't be as VP or president of the USA in its current 50-state form.

Very cool. I've been clumsily navigating the world of makeup so this may help. Some of the tutorials on YouTube are so advanced, they may as well be speaking Klingon :P

I've realized that our laptops are using much less plastic than they used to.  They are smaller devices that use less raw materials and are easier to ship and hold up better in shipping than bigger computers with removable parts.  They seem to have gotten rid of the overheating/fan problem for the most part, but there is a performance hit for that.  I use a 10yo desktop computer with a moderate level gaming video card to run 3 monitors.  I'm a producer though and most consumers have no need for that.   I really haven't watched TV since the 80's.  I spend some time researching on the internet and then I spend a lot of time meditating on the objects in my environment and on the streets.  From living on the streets for a year, I've learned that people can say anything and can control you, but the laws of physics and mathematics are outside of that and really even transcend time itself.  After people would not support my music, I built my life as a software engineer based on mathematics and engineering.  I've had a moderately successful career with that and have written code for many different industries.   The problem with stopping oil usage is that if we still need the bitumen to pave our roads and shingle our houses, then what do we do with the gas when we refine it?  There are natural deposits of bitumen, but you know, with so many people out there, demand is huge and we are using this stuff up.  If you grow corn for corn syrup, then what do you do with the cobs?  We've shipped coffee and bananas all over the world.  We took material from those environments.  What do we do now?  How long can it last?

I think that threats that can be proven should be incarcerated for half the sentence of the one they would commit if carried out.  Lies unfortunately are just words unless as you stated if not under oath.
    • Ivy
I think it depends on where and how it's happening. We also need safe places where, the perhaps more easily intimidated, can feel free to express themselves.     And what about threats of violence?  Can this lead to a place where only the violent can have this freedom?  Is it "free speech" to threaten and intimidate opposing views into silence?  I mean maybe, if I can say anything - "if you don't shut up I'll kill you."   Or spreading lies?  (perhaps about an election). Lying is okay, unless you're under oath - for what that's worth.   Censoring books in schools?  That was fine until the bible was included.  (there is some nasty stuff in there) Then, there's what used to be that free speech birdie place.  You can denigrate queer people all you want, but "cis" is a slur, and prohibited?  Free speech as long as I like it? And let's not go into court cases and gag orders. Porn?

I have noticed when anyone speaks against their though process they don't like it no matter what sided. Republicans are quick to defend Trump when he's not professional and treats his employees like crap. One employee didn't get paid at all and then he had the nerve to say that he would sue the worker. He already has a model as his wife and still goes after other women. Biden gets lost quicker than a 2nd Lieutenant gets lost at land navigation. Not to mention his open border policy which is flooding the country and can't even take care of the American citizens that we have now. I could go on about both sides. I personally don't get mad at anything someone says to me. I know it's not true so I'm over it before it even starts. You have to have thick skin.
