@Kiera what a beautiful way to start my birthday listening. I absolutely love The Beatles. They've made a big impression on me and caused me to be a singer musician and songwriter.

@Cyndee thank you. We play that song and the bass part really challenges my little dexterity. In other words my fingers aren't fast enough to keep up and sing.

Not a big fan of this new "athletic wear", leaves little in terms of one's "imagination"!

@miz miranda After Bathing at Baxters.  I have that one on vinyl!  A cool record with neat cover art.

@Kiera Yes musicians and singers all seemed to dress nicely back then.  Time change...

@Shaygreat selections

@JaniI had it on vinyl as well. I'm pretty sure most of my psychedelic stuff was to annoy my father.

This is the first band I ever met. My Mom was a secretary at the recording studio.

@miz miranda oh how cool that must have been. I've worked in Leon Russell's old studio in Tulsa and recorded at Suma Recording in Cleveland area and the secretary there was the nicest lady.

@ShayI was probably too young to understand how exciting it was. I was only 10 and they hadn't much airplay at the time I met them. They had very long hair for the time, shoulder length or longer and were nice but not that friendly. When I was living in Ireland, I sat next to BB King when flying from Cork Ireland to London. Shot flight (50 mins) and had a brief chat. That was much cooler. I didn't get to see the show he had performed, but, I've seen him in Chicago multiple times.

@miz miranda A-mazing - what a treasure that must have been. I got to talk to Robert Lockwood Junior (Robert Johnson's cousin and a true bluesman as well).

I was in Cork and I didn't realize one of my favorite all time performers and guitarists had a tribute in his home town - if I ever get back I will..... he was amazing in concert and the energy was intense to my young ears at the time........

As we sand on the cusp of summer my thoughts go back to a concert I did dressed and performing as a Tom Petty tribute to raise money and hope for the homeless and my favorite song I got to sing was my favorite Tom song and it sounds and awful lot like the type of song I write and my wife said so.....

first song is that song "Wildflowers" but I love the whole album and still perform most of the songs on the album and wish to share it today...... and smile..... I love all of you here.....

      Good news is that I have nothing serious going on. The blood was coming from internal hemorrhoids, and the doctor says it's from the "typical American diet." Too much fat and carbs but not enough plant based fiber. A few other things were noted and biopsies on them for safety sake.    Hospital visit was grand with "most" of the staff addressing me as female. I did have "bra talk" with one of the CNA's. Even my discharged papers use my preferred name on them (Birdie).   So basically, adding more fiber to my diet will eliminate my internal hemorrhoids as well as lower my risk for cancer.
