This mini set by the Grateful Dead  from 19988 of "Sugar magnolia, Scarlett Begonias and Fire on the mountain.  Worth all 29 minutes. Probably the best I've ever hear them play this. Takes them about 1:30 minutes to get going and then look out.

I went to high school in Seattle: We had the proto-punk band, The Sonics.

Listen to "Strychnine." Kurt Cobain was yet to be born then.

After discovering live DJ sets several years ago I find that female DJs often have an approach I enjoy such as:

La Fleur

Anne Lenoe

Nina Kravitz

TOKiMONSTA

For the boys I do like:

John Digweed

Amon Tobin

Sasha

I think today is a TOKiMONSTA day!

@miz miranda OMG - I thought I was the only one who remembered the Siegel-Schwll Blues Band from Chicago. I only got to see Corky Siegel once - but loved their brand of music..... especially Corrina, Corrina.....

The music I listen to may be less common for many, but as I am waking up today this track with my coffee just makes me feels like I can take on today!

Kind of a retro Friday for me - just got Jeff Lynne biography - I remember The Move (with Roy Wood) but never really listened to his first breakthrough band The Idle Race - interesting beginnings.....

@ShayThat whole album is special (including track above) 50 years later it stands the test of time, perhaps the "best" Yes album ?

I bear witness, prog rock is like alive and well in 21 ?
