Been  listening to a little bit of this and that. But today's song is "When Can I See You Again?" by Owl City.

"Live for yourself, there's no one else
More worth living for
Begging hands and bleeding hearts
Will only cry out for more"

A great album.  Geddy's voice has "mellowed" quite a bit from these days!

I should go back through the previous pages...but I am sitting here listening to one of my favorite songs, "It's So Bright" by Coyote Grace. Has anyone else heard their music? The band, sadly, has broken up but the lead singer, Joe Stevens, is transgender FtM. Not sure where he is now - I know he struck out on his own and has fought addiction for many years.

I first heard Coyote Grace when they opened for Indigo Girls at a concert - amazing artistry and music. They'd recently released their first album, Boxes and Bags. The song "A Guy Named Joe" is a haunting tribute to his transition.

Who am I to change my name?

Some things will always stay the same

There really ain't no one to blame

Can't expect nobody to live in the pain

But I know you miss me so

I said goodbye to everyone I know

And one morning I awoke

And I was this guy named Joe.

Little did I know while watching him perform that many years later I'd be beginning my own journey.

I was listening to some music earlier which helps my anxiety. A lot of Hiroyuki Sawano-san's tracks are what I like to listen to. There's a song for almost every mood I can think of too. This one is one of my favorites...

I saw that cover art and immediately thought, Robert Palmer.  The hair did it.   But on second thought its more reminiscent of the Boz Scaggs cover for Silk Degrees.
