Unveiling Sachi~ Newest Cross Stitch Project done.

I just finished this project tonight, a few hours ago! This project took around 120 hours and was one of my most complex works yet. I can't wait to get it framed but for now all I have to share are the poor quality cell phone pictures.

This project is mostly printed on the material itself with selected areas for stitching. Many different embroidery stitches were used in this piece to accentuate and enhance the original image, and giving certain things like jewelry a 3D effect.

Hope you like it :)

In this image there is Cross Stitching, Stem Stitching, Back Stitching, Lazy Daisies, French Knots, and Satin Stitching.

Very beautiful and something to be proud of for sure. Its been a number of years since I have done embroidery to that degree, and never with a couple of the stitches you describe but it is an art that I have enjoyed as well. It is very satisfying and soothing to do that sort of hand work and see it develop before our eyes. Again, VERY IMPRESSIVE and BEAUTIFUL.

Whoa! This is awesome! ^_^ Actually, I really didn't know what cross stitching was when I read the title, so I think in my head I think I was expecting to see a picture of a scarf or something. lol Seeing incredible work has really peaked my interest. I kind of want to try doing something like this. I think my sister does this as well, but never anything to this complexity. This is a very beautifully done. You did an amazing job! :)

Thank you all :) I really appreciate it!

I've never been the type to just sit and watch TV in the evening so this is what I do to keep my hands busy and my mind content.

Vicky, I really do find embroidery to be very relaxing and as you said, there are few things more rewarding than watching a piece of blank fabric turn into a work of art. I wish I had children to pass them on to. With the number of hours that go into these and the cost of framing they really are keep sakes. I always feel like I actually accomplished something with my time.

IzzyBell or anyone else who would like to try a project like this I definitely recommend starting small. The first project I did was about the size of a post card but it was very ornate and took about of a month of haaaaard work to get it done. I don't really remember how many hours it took but I do remember that it was easy enough to follow the instructions and teach myself how to do it and if you ever encounter trouble there are plenty of videos on youtube and online elsewhere to help. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys working with their hands. It's a fairly simple craft but certainly among the most rewarding.

4 Charlie and Szenzie, thank you again :)

*Hugs*
