Scarlett: North American, underdog, female, zerg and trans... BREAKING ALL THE STEREOTYPES. A lot of great publicity.... and it's all warranted because she was an underdog who had a stellar performance... not because she's trans. While people are noting this and the thread where I found this link is full of typical transphobic comments... most of it is downvoted and she's appreciated for the pro gamer she is.

I really hope she finds sponsorship with a great team. For those of you who don't know... pro gaming gets a great bit of international publicity.

Wow, this was a really awesome read Szenzie! I was excited to share it with all of my friends who are gamers

I too wish her the best in making her way in the programing world. It's tough being a female gamer. It takes a lot of strength to handle the things women face in that world but if she has the strength to handle transition and being about it then I'm she she has what it takes to go far.

Hopefully this won't be the last we hear of her. Time will tell I suppose.

I am honestly surprised at the level of support she has received and the level of mature discussion about gender identity that has taken place both in the comments on the main article and the thread Szenzie shared.

Commenting was disabled for the youtube interview but there were 825 likes to 89 dislikes so it seems she has all the support she needs really.

Top 10 in Grandmasters, wow. I don't really know how to follow these tournaments usually, so let us know how she does.

I don't play SC2 very regular or often, but it is basically the only thing I play, so if anyone here wants to play, let me know. I was diamond 1v1 when the game was new, but haven't 1v1ed in over a year, mostly just do the occasional random coop game these days. Generally played protoss, but have been sort of trying out zerg lately.
