Just reflecting on yet another wonderful day here in trans mecca, life is good. I walked the streets as myself totally at ease, nobody seemed to even give me a 2nd glance, so nice to be real.

Saw my GP (Dr Woman) today for 9 month HRT checkup and evaluation. Doc was impressed with developments, it's full steam ahead, have to say feelin' good, and curves rock ! This Dr office is so friendly and laid back, I used to be so leary of anything "medical", not anymore with these folks. Everyone from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the Doc all go out of their way to address me as Cynthia, it's awesome.

Then after the Dr visit I had a very nice visit with Karen (KarenLyn here at LP). We met up for coffee at Starbucks this afternoon and it was fantastic to get to meet you in person Karen, thanks so much for coming over. Girls we had gotten to know each other a bit here on this board and this is someone close to my age, yet far ahead of me on this journey. I enjoyed the conversation immensely Karen, the time passed so quickly ! Let's do it again someday, ok ?

Hugs

That Cindy!

Tell you what, homies: You should SEE Cynthia Rae ... live and in person ... She is curving and breasting out like it's nobody's business!!! Megan and I get such a kick out of watching Cindy BE Cindy ... * giggle * ... she's SUCH girl!!! Bliss City with her, baby ... all the way!!!

So, dang, Cindy and Megan, like what am I gonna do???

Like, I love, love, LOVE y'all (hey, man, 31 years in the deep south, ya know?), and, true, your city and state ARE Transmecca, U.S.A. To have such loving friends in such a hip place is just the best! I SOOO wanna be with all of you!

BUT !!!

I hate, hate, hate cold (or even cool) whether! The desert sun CALLS to me, honey!!! Overpowering heat, low humidity and two of the best C.O. resorts in America ... sigh ... what am I gonna do?!? Poolside ... sunscreen, shades, sandals and nothing else on ... 115 degrees in the shade ... most of the year ... DANG!!! Sigh ... !

Everybody:

Megan's gonna melt your minds, y'all! Stay tuned! That girl! I ain't sayin' squat! She's gotta say it, but she will ... she WILL! The Seattle Posse ... God, how I LOVE them!!!

Hi Cindy,

Your day is coming! Or, it's here, any time you want! So good to hear the news, and, yes, can't wait to get together again!

Love, Megan

Thanks Meg, you know what, your confidence and attitude is infectious. I recall one of my early outings as myself with you going to my first support meeting, and you saw the look on my face as I stepped out on these very same streets a little over a year ago and remarked "I had that deer in headlight look". Well I can say your attitude has given me the confidence to be myself in public, and it shows. Now a year later, I walk these very same streets as myself, and I feel great, people sense this confidence. I was early to my appointment yesterday as traffic was kind, you know I just had to walk around up there on Capitol hill for about a half an hour alone, just to take it in, to pass people and smile if their eyes met mine, to be part of society as myself, ya know I have just about worn out those same ballet flats now.

Love

Dearest Svenna

There are many cities in the US that are accepting of us. This particular area I went to in downtown Seattle (Capitol Hill) is well known in the community, and it's quite lively out there, I feel totally at ease here in this mecca.

Hi Svenna,

We all have experienced the Deer in the Headlights effect. But in time, it fades. Once you're beyond that, let the real you shine, and the world is your oyster! All of the people I know live in suburbia, my neighborhood is heavily Islamic and a good mix of rednecks to boot. I am at home here, and in the backwoods logging towns. Mecca is something you can create where ever you are!

Cindy,

Feeling totally at ease is a state of mind I also seek... :)

So glad to know it can be found somewhere for somebody like myself. That is encouraging!

Thanks for sharing!

This place! Gotta love it! We do!

So, yeah, I'm actually goin' to Seattle (mororless) ... any between Seattle and Tacoma. However, that does NOT mean I'm not going to talk The Posse into gathering a bunch of people on here together and hitting Caliente, baby!

Peace & Joy :friends: Lacey Lynne

I had a great time too. Just remind me not to walk the mile down from work for a visit. It's a good thing there was time before your appointment ended. I was soaked with perspiration! (men sweat, women perspire. Not sure where I heard that)

Next time I'll have to have Andi come too and make him pick up the tab. :)

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
