ME TOO! I got asked if I'm hitting the gym and how often!

- fat redistribution...like im not very curvy if at all..lol

ME TOO! I'm cut and straight shaped now!

- bad fine motor coordination...i actually tell people that often :P

Mine actually got better hehe

- get angry more than most people would

I don't get angry I get even. I was a push over before and now when people try to walk all over me I put them in a place they may not like.

- relatively unemotional

I have not cried in months- I used to cry daily. Men don't cry as easily but I seriously watch like sad movies etc to see if I can make myself cry. No good!

- have been called insensitive (also by a guy..)

Cold- LOL - but that's a part of the emotional thing you have to replace those emotions with thought and logic!

- very high sex drive...that never really gets any lower

Prior to T I needed satisfaction in that department...well never. Now it's gotten to the point of daily, several times a day...good arm muscles...but you just have to be careful not to hurt yourself. Bite plate. Crash Helmet- Warn your partner!

- that thing about men having a more forward pelvis and women having a more..i guess upright one..lol - i always seem to stand that way, like forward pelvis/torso tilted back slightly..

I've now noticed that it's also more comfortable to stand!

and im sure there are a few im missing but that's what i can think of off the top of my head right now

What's the deal? Testosterone is a SEX hormone. Serious? Well yeah that's why you're getting the high sex drive. I find making sure that I'm serviced at least once a day and well fed brings down my aggression.

I'm always wanting sex or food. All the time.

Aggression is also sex related. Animals in rutt will fight, and fight hard. This is the competitive male nature. You will see two male lions laying playfully next to each other until the females come in season and they have a spike in testosterone. Then watch out, claws and teeth fly!

SO satisfying that male need to compete for sex can be satisfied with service. It will also calm you down a bit in that department. And if you have to three times a day then well, might as well enjoy it!

Its also healthy to write, talk and think about your emotions. Even if you just blog it and erase it. Just get it out. You still have emotions they're just deeper. A man's emotional glass is different than a woman's. It takes longer to get to the cry point. Logic kicks in so where you would feel sad or sorry you might come off as insensitive.

Before it would have really bothered me a lot of the things that are happening around me but now I think I'm more emotionally stable rather than cold and better prepared to logically asses the situation and deal with it accordingly.

Men don't need to carry babies so as long as your body sees that it's male then you won't get fat where baby bearing women need it. In the breasts, and bottom so that you can accommodate the larger belly from pregnancy. Your body has no need to be that way because it has no need to carry a child while it is under the impression that it is male due to your hormones.

And your muscles are changing because men have more muscle less fat. The testosterone tells your body to put on muscle and it will. This will mess with your motor skills until you adjust. I think I said in another post- It's like driving a new car, same concept- different body.

Remember that the reason males are different from females is that the female body is designed to carry children. The male body is designed to compete for females and the fight to pass on their genes. No matter what society's ideas are this is how we are designed as animals to pass on our genes.

Try working out and yoga- especially because you said you have aggression more now, yoga really helps with that.

Hope that helped a little.

A lot of the things you listed are more personality traits, such as aggression or lack of emotion. These things are only brought out by T if someone already has them. For instance, a quieter passive person who starts testosterone isn't suddenly going to start beating up people but a person who normally gets easily aggravated might be more tempted to. Same with being insensitive or not showing emotion. And I feel that every transman already starts with a sex drive higher than that of female peers, or at least on this forum.

As for the physical aspects, all people differ, no matter what gender. Some biological men have curves and fatty cheeks. Some biological women have no womanly figure whatsoever. You may just have a high level of testosterone already but from my experience most biological women with higher than normal levels of T (trans or otherwise) have differences in really just the face or amounts of body hair. Might be something to check into though.

Hmm, I'm not especially muscular, and I do have a curvy torso and hips. (I measured myself once, and I think I'm pear-shaped) I'm really patient, like, a lot more than most people, and will cry at the drop of a hat, even if I'm not really that upset.

But, I have a pretty deep voice... My mom's an alto, and mine's deeper than hers, and I'm pretty sure I have a higher than average sex drive, for females at least. And just yesterday, my friend was complaining about how her boyfriend never was comfortable talking or expressing how he felt about her, which is exactly how my mom described me once. I've always hated writing birthday cards or "Happy Mother's Day!" notes, it felt fake... Even hugging people is sometimes weird for me.

Yeah, but mine seems to be higher than that of male peers..

So what exactly would it mean if I had high testosterone levels?

I think it really just means you have high testosterone levels if you even do. So far though every biological female I've met who had high testosterone levels was in some way transgender. Of course my non-trans friends don't tell me every detail about their doctor visits. XP So I doubt this is sound.

I have most of those things as well, including the male-like pelvis. My personality is highly logical (always was) and I have always been relatively unemotional. Some of the traits you list are not neccesarily caused by T, but are associated with males and more commonly aligned with their tendencies. I'm not sure if you have high testosterone levels or not, but its possible. The only way to really know for sure is to get tested. Make sure you mention you want to know testosterone or hormone levels if you do get tested because the doctor or nurse will probably not mention these levels otherwise.

One issue contributing to the high sex drive could be that because you're frustrated (mentally or physically), the frequency increases. This can lead to feeling 'restless' even more frequently. Also, for some FTM people, its just not enough. There's no real relief because we can't 'do the business' like a regular male would. So this is something that can also increase symptoms of a restless sex drive.

Yeah, all those things you listed describes me too, but like J-Walker said, it's mostly just personality.

I was pretty sensitive as a child, I was either crying uncontrollably or punching holes in the walls. Now I come off as more callous and apathetic to people... :/

For the physical features, I guess we're just a bit lucky. I'm not very strong or anything, the only thing upper-arm strength related is doing a bunch of pushups, but that's all. I'm pretty flat and I miraculously pass most of the time, which is so weird because I actually look/sound really feminine despite all this, at least my face and voice does, and being 5'2" doesn't help either.

I had many of these things Pre-T as well. I was very hairy, had a very deep voice that easily passed with out me making any conscious effort. And my sex drive was easily the same as any bio man. Warning, that gets even worse when you go on T.

I've heard from my endocrinologist that you start having... Strange fantasies... When you first start T. Like, everything becomes sexual, including things you never thought were sexual before. Is that true and if so how do I live without acting on those impulses? XD

Yeah, everything does become sexual. But you deal with it just by "taking care of business ;)"

(if you know what I mean) more times a day. I have some odd thoughs, but I've never acted inappropriatly. I was always worried about that pre-T. T turns you into a man, not an animal. So I wouldn't worry about acting on strange impulses you wouldn't want to act on.

Hmmm... I'm not having that. In fact, even though I have a little more "drive" than usual, it isn't that bad. Of course, I didn't have much of a drive before T, so even if my drive increased by a factor of 20, the net amount still wouldn't end up being much...if that makes sense.

There are all kinds of "when you start T" rumors floating around here and there. I'm not sure how true all of them are. So far, the only thing I can say with certainty is that it affects people differently. There are a couple of things that make it hard for people to be objective too. One is that, being on T changes your experience from the inside...so it makes it hard for you to judge it as if you were on the outside. Also, there is an "expectation effect". For example, people who expect to get really, really drunk from alcohol tend to show symptoms of impairment earlier than those who don't expect it. This probably happens with T as well.

For me, I feel different...yet not really all that different. My mood is better, but not euphoric by any stretch. The biggest differences I can see in myself are that I don't pay attention to things as well as I used to. I space out more. I'm also less likely to take junk from people. Yeah...I'm more pushy. That's about it for now. I'm just in my first month on T, so we'll see how that changes over time. I'm hoping the attention stuff gets better.

I'm not having a huge jump in sex drive, just a little bit. And not too much distraction with thoughts. But I did have quite the experience after being on T for a month. I was at this big nutritional conference. I went to a small "break-out session" with this woman who had to be 12 years older than I and a professor too. Her talk was all on the link between nutrition and Alzheimer's Disease. And I couldn't think concentrate on it to save my life. Actually thinking back about it, I wouldn't call it a bad thing either. It was really interesting and really cool. I caught most of her talk by half-listening.

Actually, not much has changed. I do have a lot better attitude toward exercise. I'm working out every evening after working 10 1/2 hours of work. I was at the gym at work for over an hour tonight.

Ah yes, the infamous affects of T. Let the records show........well never mind.... suffice it to say I almost hurt my wrist in the first month. Of course I have a better handle on things now but dang am I ever lookin at the porn. Yeah, I sexualized every thing and every body in that first month but its better now. One of the effects that I didn't know would apply to me is the increased desire to work out. I like it. It feels goood. I try to do a session of 30 abs 30 pushups and then weights twice a day. Doesn't always work out that way. Sometimes I laze out and only do one. I have a lot of work to be done but at least my clothes seem to hang nicer B) This from a man who prior considered getting up twice in a row for something more to snack on "exerting" lol. More energy and yet I sleep better.

And Stranded, I gotta let you know bud, I look forward to everything you say just so I can hear phrases like " increased by a factor of 20, the net amount..." -your place is secure bro. There is only one you lol I love it. :D

I agree with what was said tho, I don't think the high pre levels mean anything to the docs. However it can't have helped but make things a little bit better? Had I been hairy and deep voiced I sure would have felt better.

You know, I've noticed that the visual images are a lot greater than they ever were before and I was a pretty visual person to begin with. I finally scared myself when I started looking at a coworker and noticing that she's pretty well-endowed. She really irritated me before this. And then another coworker and her shorter skirts....

I've always been a "unique" one. You know, I talk like that in person too. It's weird. I think it is because I'm left handed or something.

SoCo, 2009... We've got to hang out and brainstorm new stuff to worry about. :P

Dude... that totally happened to me when I started taking T. It was really surprising at first just how much I was noticing girls' legs and chests and such... like to the extent that the image was more powerful than any other thought process I was having at the time. I'm getting used to it now... it's actually kind of fun.

I'm getting the "drawn in by visual images thing". Chests always grabbed my attention to some extent, but not like this. I have to be really careful and mindful of where my eyes are going.

that's another problem i have...and im not planning on taking T any time soon because if it increases sex drive i probably wouldn't be able to go anywhere

Speaking of visual stuff...this has been happening to me more and more frequently, except this time it was really strange...

so that whole nauseous shaky dizzy thing i mentioned before? i was watching this youtube music video and it happened (fyi the lead singer is supposedly now known as a sex symbol lol) so i decided to do something else for awhile...then about 10 minutes later i go watch another video by the same band, only this one was a concert, and while she's singing...it happened AGAIN...but then, i went to play freecell and out of nowhere start crying because of it. and i think that's the first time ive cried over something but not because i was sad. it was like being on drugs or something. i was crying but enjoying it..or i guess because i didnt really know what else to do except cry. and after like 10 seconds of that it all went away.

so what is this, like some kind of internalized orgasm?
