Question about Ftm Hypnosis

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone on this site is familiar with hypnotherapy? I'm currently doing a mtf hypnosis and it's going well but my boy friend was saying there isn't really anything for ftm. Can you guys recommend a good hypnosis mp3 or something? I've looking and there's not much, would this work for him? http://www.naturalhypnosis.com/become-the-alpha-male-hypnosis I've been trying to cheer him up but hes depressed about it. :(

Thank you everyone!

To my knowledge, there is no one here familiar with hypnotherapy. That's not to say that there aren't any. If there are, I'm sure they'll speak up. Personally. I think your bf would be better served by counseling with a gender therapist. If hypnotherapy is going well for you, it might for your bf as well but that's a big if.

As for the site you linked in your post, it could be legitimate or it could be a rip off. Proceed with caution.

Yeah, I'm trying to convince him to go but he would rather do it at home, so like an mp3. The site seems fine but something tells me it's fake. Thanks for the reply!

He told me he would rather just listen to something, he's not to keen on seeing a therapist. There's also only I think two therapists were we live and they're expensive. Maybe I'll try to find transgender hypnosis or something, thanks!

The link you gave wasn't for transgender folks, it was for cis gendered men who want to be assertive alpha males. Hypnosis is not something I have ever heard of for helping someone who is transgender. How would it help? What would it accomplish? What do you want it to accomplish? My first thought is being hypnotised into going back back back to the first time you thought you were a boy or a girl with the wrong body etc. Then what do you do, after recalling the memory?

Gender therapist. They are trained, qualified and can help people sort through their dysphoria.

Mary Ellen had some good points about gender therapist by skype or by phone.

You could also look for a local transgender support group in your area too.

We don't have any local gender therapists but I could check up on phone or something. The thing is he wants to be a man when out and about and at home, but at work he wants to be a she. He wants to keep his female parts but slso be a male so my question is would gender therapy help him? I don't have much knowlegde on this stuff, he's a transgender not a transsexual. Thanks

Yes, gender therapy is valuable for all transpeople no matter how they choose to transition, or if they choose not to transition. I highly recommend it if it is at all possible.

I went through a period where I listened to a number of "hypnosis" mp3s. At the time I found them comforting but the reality is, they are not going to change you and their purpose is not to help you sort out something that is so fundamental to who you are.

They might make you relax about it all, or help you accept it a bit easier, but they are not going to change anything significant for one major reason: Dealing with this is not a passive activity. Its not about putting on the 'phones, nodding off, and waking up and you are cured.

It takes participation, engagement, activity, discussion, processing, opening up, being vulnerable, making mistakes, asking questions, looking deep, building awareness, doing the diligence.

You just can't sleep through that. Its too big, at least it is for me. Unfortunately we have spent a lifetime of hiding, being fearful about who we really are, afraid of being vulnerable, and petrified of being humiliated so its natural to try and preserve that approach.

But at some point, one has to ask: "And hows that been working out for you?"

Yeah well hypnoterapy has been a proven method for various things such as to quit smoking or eat healthier, you pretty much crushed me saying how It won't work. It's like lucid dreaming, If you believe it's fake or won't work guees what, It doesn't work... Hypnotherapy is the exact same way, I am no way ashamed of who I am or uncomfortable with my body as a women, I want to connect deeply with my inner woman and no therapist will help. I came here looking for support

Please don't take offense but we are trying to support you. Have you tried contacting a clinical hypnotist? You might get some more definite answers from here. It would help if you could talk with a hypnotist one on one. They should be able to tell you exactly what or what cannot be accomplished.

What do you mean "nodding off, waking up and your cured." were you even doing hypnotherapy? You sit/lay there and listen then do what your told, if you start questioning or doubting hypnosis it obviously won't work... Everyone always suggests therapy as a cure for everything, okay yeah It probably works wonders and "helps" them with their problems but it's not for me. Next time please only post when you have information that answers my question and doesn't involve a life lesson.

In other words my hypnosis is going fine and will continue to do so, hypnotherapy takes a lot of patience and willpower to stay awake, listen, and follow instructions.

Good day.

Way to cut what I said, I understand you and everyone else Is trying to help but Zoe is pretty much crushing my beliefs. If your told that therapy is pretty much the only thing that can "cure" you, wouldn't you eventually start to lose faith in what you're trying? Almost every single transgender forum has told me only therspy will help except you guys are nicest forum so far, this post isn't even about me yet it hurts both of us. No i haven't thought of that I'll check that out, like I say though it's fine to have your own beliefs but please don't force them upon people.

Thank you.

You appear to have taken offense at our replies. I'm sorry you feel that way. We were in no way intending to belittle you. If hypnosis works for you, that's fine. Go for it. Right now, I'm not sure of what you're asking help for. If you don't think we are of any help to you, perhaps you could find better answers elsewhere.

All I was asking for was if anyone knew of hypnosis ftm that was it, I was just a little bothered by krisina and zoe's post because I didn't need a lecture on how it works or not. Anyway It doesn't matter now It was just a simple question and I didn't mean to start anything, I just figured Transgender forums would have more knowlege on hypnosis. Thanks for the support.

I think they're just worried you guys might be wasting money, I'm certain their concern was genuine. Please don't think they were trying to lecture you :(

I can be sensative, I'm sorry. I paid a fair amount for my bundle and It's helping me but haven't found anything for him yet. I came here thinking I would get an answer I wanted, but I refused suggestions and help. Again I apologise for being selfish and comming off as a jerk.

Thank you :D

In answer to your question, it's not something I've personally ever seen any information on, at least not real information. People have tried in the past to advertise scam sites here claiming to offer products like that, but they were quickly shut down.

That's what I would suggest, though I would look for one with a proven track record. I went to a hypnotherapist for a quit smoking program in the past and it did absolutely nothing for me. He was the only option locally though, so I quickly gave up on that idea.

I meant no offense nor was I attempting in any way to "crush" your beliefs. Hypnotherapy is a viable tool and has been proven to work well for many behavior related issues. Active hypnotherapy provided by a highly trained hypnotherapist can be also used to break down barriers and root out problems and issue obscured by years of mental fence building.

Its just that for myself, I don't see my transgenderism as being a behavior issue that can be resolved by an MP3 recording; that for me, it involves interaction and active participation.

Like I said, I have listened to a variety of MP3 recordings, some very well done and quite expensive. I was responding to your query for people who had such experience. But with all of them, I came to the conclusion that for me, in my experience, a disconnected voice talking through my headphones in my head was not going to help me get where I needed to be.

But its like we say about hormones: Your mileage may vary. I am glad its working for you and helping you along in your journey and I hope your friend can find a provider as well.

I can see how my choice of words previously could have been interpreted as projecting my experiences onto the reader and I appreciate your calling me out on it. I will be more careful in the future, it was never my intent to cause a problem.

Regards,

Zoe

I'm sorry for being too defensive and sensetive. I personally think my mp3's will help me, I made these barriers as a kid growing up thinking I was some sort of wierdo but not too long ago I learned that I am transgender. It's taking a lot of undoing but I'm slowly working things out, but what I do know is my bf makes me feel like a girl. xD

I don't understand why people place any value on what actors, musicians, or sports people have to say about politics.  It isn't any more relevant than what the average person on the street has to say about it. And this article only had a couple of quotes, no video of what he actually said for context.    There's plenty to criticize about modern culture, and MeToo. (anybody remember when # was pronounced "pound" instead of "hashtag?" 🙄)  if the two or three quotes in the article are the "worst" things he said, its basically nothing.

Thank you, Charlize. Just to be myself is often a struggle, but to be living my truth is a great reward in itself. At 76, too, I'm a happy young trans non-binary person. Cheers, Davie.

I'm certainly feeling excitement right now from an impending move.  Excitement isn't something that I seek.  At least not consciously.  I'm looking forward to wrapping up this packing phase because I have a good computer programming project to get to.  Actually, there are a few of them stacked up.

I'd like to see some American trans artists sue a few American haters. Trans actor Karla Sofía Gascón sues French far-right politician after ‘sexist insult’ The actor, who became the first transgender woman to win the best actress prize at Cannes, had earlier dedicated her award to ‘all the trans people who are suffering’. The first transgender woman to be awarded the best actress prize at the Cannes film festival filed a legal complaint on Wednesday over a “sexist insult” from a far-right politician after her win. Karla Sofía Gascón and co-stars jointly received the accolade on Saturday for their performances in French auteur Jacques Audiard’s Mexico-set narco musical Emilia Perez. https://www.theguardian.com/film/article/2024/may/29/trans-actor-karla-sofia-gascon-sues-french-far-right-politician-after-sexist-insult

I'm not even sure I know what an emotion is.  I often feel intimacy.  I can feel loneliness, but I'm just way too optimistic to stay stuck in that.  I guess any negative emotion I get is just fuel to work on something.

I listen to Outlaw Country a lot too. My favorite music genre. I went to an Outlaw Music Festival last summer featuring Willie Nelson. It was awesome. Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, EmmyLou Harris, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams. Just to name a few of my favorites. I'm showing my age by admitting this. LOL

Sounds like just what you need in a situation like that, basic food.

Spiro by itself may induce some feminizing effects by suppressing T and allowing natural E in your system to bind. Just make sure you drink enough water! 😀   I specifically chose not to use a T blocker, I’m already on blood pressure meds that are effective and I did not want to risk greater sexual dysfunction of my lady stick 🤭. My labs on one shot of a “introductory” dose of estradiol velerate saw my T plummet within the first three months regardless, down to cis female levels. I have more labs in a couple weeks to check on things after titration of dose and perhaps a step up in dose.    6 months flies, girls!   It sounds like you have a wonderful NP and I’m so glad you were able to start GAHT. I’d love to keep hearing about your journey.
    • AllieJ
Flagged levels on blood tests are for levels out of range, but the ranges for males and females are different. I was flagged all the time for low T levels until I had my medical records changed to Female. For a while there were no flags, but eventually I was flagged as low T for the female range. My doctor advised that low T can cause low energy, low libido, and/or reduced cognitive function, but as I didn't exhibit low energy or altered cognitive function, we decided I could live with low libido, and as yet, I haven't added a T supplement. My doctor has decent experience with trans patients, and bases treatments as much on how I feel as the test numbers.   Hugs,   Allie

I totally see the value in expressing your views on what you are passionate about Mmindy, but I also see that as different from surrendering to the flow of your emotions. I sometimes practise turning my tears off and on at will, since I feel the better I can control them the more confident I can be to just let them take me over sometimes. I find one exercise helpful: to think of a time when I lacked for love and to give myself the love I needed then.    I’m so glad you are becoming more able to express your emotions.

Now that is what I call service!  Congratulations on your HRT and on having such good patient care.

I agree with you, and I consider myself lucky to have a realistic understanding that I’m never going to have my dream body. I take comfort in the fact that women come in all shapes and sizes. I compare myself to the women in my family at the age I am now, and see that resemblance. It may be easier to transition into an Auntie or Grandmotherly figure once you reach a certain age.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
