As I write this, it's the first day of summer, and the very best classic-rock station I've ever heard, Portland's KGON, is playing the long version of "Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf about circa 1967 or thereabouts. Rock on, John Kay and Goldie McJohn! Dang, I love it! Life is good!
