Hi Emily,

You've a good start. I'm not sure how far along you are on HRT and its affects on the face? You might think of a different hairstyle, with bangs or at least more forward to cover some of your brow.

But, I went full time with horrible hair and two months of HRT. For me, it was simply time - couldn't go back and had to go forward. You'll know when it's your time.

Good luck to you!

Love, Megan

I have been on HRT for 2+ years, my hair is growing pretty nicely now and I was thinking about doing something very soon with my hair actually. I know that bangs will hide my hairline, just not sure what kind of style works for my face yet? I am looking also at FFS which I am hopnig will fix what HRT could not. I am like you right now and just at the point where I can't turn back (not that I do not want to) and the ONLY way for me to go is forward! /Hugs

Hi Emily,

One of those wonderful rites of passage is the trip to the salon. I couldn't get my hair styled until I was full time at work, but on the day that happened, I was able to change from combing it back, went with bangs and blonde. But, your hair is thicker and longer than mine. You may be able to do do something like my wife's hair, she's the pretty one on the left: http://i1213.photobu.../2012-05-19.jpg.

Sadly I am in the same boat as you were and really can't do anything too drastic to my hair until I am full-time at work (which most do not know about me yet) I want to do something pretty drastic with it but just not quite there yet. Here is a style that a friend told me will look great on me (http://pinterest.com/pin/163959242654126212/) I won't know until I try right?

Hi Emily,

I do like that hairstyle. I was looking around for tips on which hairstyles match different faces. This one might help you pick out a style: http://beauty.about.com/od/hairbasics/a/flattering.htm.

It took a little over two months before I'd completed the coming-out. In the meantime, I just did the best with what I had. Hopefully you'll be able to get through that time easily and quickly...
