Ah yes, the epistle of James!!! Not one of the scriptures often in the mind of those who are out to GET the GLBT community on scriptural grounds. In one sense, its the three fingers and a thumb pointing backwards when some other scriptures are used.

I was happy to see her one item on the Deuteronomy "Cross Dressing" prohibition where she mentions that the things talked about in the Bible were written in and for the time at hand of the author. I have read other articles by Jewish theologians who go so far as to say that even they cannot tell from the words in the oldest sources what is really meant in that passage, since the words could refer to religious garments or church wear, battle armor, or a disguise to infiltrate a neighbor's female slave quarters or the neighbor's daughter's (or wife's) sewing room. The one thing the Jewish theologians agree on is that it does not reference today's TG community. Now to let some of our fellow Christians in on the joke!!
