[Guest penumbra]

Running through the brambles

To escape the pain

Though they jab and pierce

I would rather suffer this pain

On my way to heaven

Just to know you couldn’t have your way

Running through razor blades

To escape the sane

Though they slash and slice

I would rather suffer this pain

On my way to heaven

Than to let you have your way

What would I bleed for?

If not I, than you?

What would I suffer for?

For I, and not you!

Running through the thorns

To escape the vain

Though they poke and prod

I would rather suffer this pain

On my way to heaven

Than to even know your name

Running through sharpened knives

To escape the way

Though they stab and skewer

I would rather suffer this pain

On my way to heaven

To know you could never have me

When it rains it poors it would seem

So much pain and suffering in your poetry

It is sad

Surly you must know there are far better ways to get to heaven

But alas i know this is your way, and I respect it
