A Hello From Elise.

Hello everyone!

I'm Elise, and it is wonderful to be here! For the first time in a while I'm... well I'm ecstatic to be honest. I think that the real gravity of being able to talk freely amongst others who are like me is sinking in.

Anywho! As i said, I'm happy to be here, I am just shy of 16, have been aware of what I am for about two years now... (I actually have a biography thread up if you want to go take a peek at it.)

Right now, all of my friends know about me... as well as some people who I thought were close enough of acquaintances to stick by me even knowing that. No loss there. They were never really my friends. Past that, I've pretty much always associated with females (like myself ) throughout my lifetime, but in the recent years where I've discovered that of myself, I didn't have much of a support group until I met the person who I am currently dating--who fully supports my lifestyle (and who I truly don't deserve)--, and soon after them, a group of people I became friends with when I started my freshman year.

Uhm, I've become completely comfortable with myself... actually, I'm going to say that differently...

I was never comfortable with myself until I became aware of what I am... Ever since I realized it, my self image, and overall health has been getting better!

Great to have a new member and such a happy one! I'm glad to say that much like you, I didn't have a very good self image until I decided to embrace the real me. Now I'm almost smug!

You'll find a lot of wonderful, friendly and even smart people here. I am in the friendly group - trying to stay humble because I'm really the leader of all three!

Have a wonderful time and feel free to ask any questions that you might have - the only stupid question is the one unasked.

Have a sit in the most comfy chair you can find and I'll send you a virtual cup, careful, it's hot and I just baked a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies - warm from the oven (and being virtual they are made from scratch - nothing is too good for our new friends).

Getting up and dusting myself off, you are more than welcome.

Try the General Transgender Forums and look for the area that seems to fit your question or observation. I just check all new posts when ever I sign in - that way I don't miss anything!

If you hang around in the MTF all the time you miss the cross dressers and the teens and the cute guys!

Well anyway, just look around, there' always something happening!

Hi Elise, welcome (sorry the welcome is late). You sound like a great person and glad your self image is getting better. Definately understand about it being poor until accepting yourself for who you are. I have to admire you for accepting and facing who you are at a young age, wish I could have done that when I was your age (yes I am jealous since I am 40 now and only accepted myself within the last year ). Hehe, I haven't grown up in a 'normal' family, because of that, what I can accept as true (aka, open mindedness) is easily augmented... Helped me come to terms very quickly. (Not to mention that because I was/am a pariah, there isn't a very large amount of people who I can disappoint, or who I fear not being accepted by.)

I'll offer you the guys alternative menu! Cheese burger and fries, Pepperoni Pizza (I can add anchovies) or Chicken Fried anything that you can think of!

I find that a Texas sized Chicken Fried Steak, with mashed potatoes and country gravy can almost knock you out it is soo filling and comforting - See ya, I'm going to have to fix dinner!
