A Good Day

Yesterday was a bad day. Yet you never know what the next day will bring.

I had some errands to run today, after work, and I was in a very girly mood. I had very girly clothes, including some nice wedge sandals and a blouse that emphasizes the girls. I couldn't believe how I was treated. Everyone I ran into was treating me like a lady. And to top it off, I stop off at the meat department at the supermarket to pick up some baked chicken. A nice man waited on me and went out of his way to give me a sample wing of a different flavor of chicken. Then he went out of his way to find higher quality pieces of chicken to fill my order. That was kind of him and I let him know.

I've never had this happen before but men seemed to be going out of their way to say hello. I was at the cable company to complete my name change with them (finally) and to order television service to get ready to watch my Arizona Wildcats play college football and basketball (yeah Pac-12 Network :) ), and this elderly man sits right next to me and wants someone to talk with. I didn't have time to talk with him much because my name was called, but what I noticed, and not only him, is that people accepted me as a woman. I didn't get a "sir" one time.

For the first time I could sense men were genuinely attracted to me, and I believe it's because I send out genuine female signals, instead of contrived ones. It's been a good day.

One thing that took me time to learn. I now realize I don't have to give up the things I like just because I feel it doesn't seem girly enough. Just be yourself. In hindsight I can't believe how many times I told others I don't like sports very much because I thought it would help me pass. Now I know that sending out female signals is what counts. I don't totally understand how this works, it just does.

Love,

Jenny

Maybe I need to go over the border to Arizona and see if I can find a few of those guys. I don't find nearly that many here in So. Cal. in that length of time. I am so glad you are feeling better too.

Sounds a wonderful and fulfilling day. Its great to feel accepted and to be treated as the woman we feel like. There are still some gentlemen out there even though i have left the ranks. I must admit i still hold a door for a woman, just couldn't do otherwise. Its nice then when the next man holds it for me. Gives a girl a chance to smile a thanks.

Hugs,

Charlie

Glad you had such a great day jenny! You were due,

It;s my belief that we observe and internalize the behaviors and mannerisms and cultural norms of the gender we identify with -usually with no idea we even do it, Then too they are finding more and more behavior is actuay gender hard wired in the brain now that they can image it and see what is generated where, I have heard scientists say they were shocked how much behavior really is gender differentiated and hard wired, Far more than ever suspected, And of course that has been our problem all out lives hasn't it? Our brains kept telling us one thing and society another, Now what we have to do is forget those messages the years tried to drum into us and just get out of our own way, The knowledge is there, it's when we try too hard that we short circuit the new messages I think,

I know when I saw myself as a male with a flawed anatomy rather than a female with a male brain I went from seldom passing to passing all the time. Overnight.

Again I am very, very happy for you

Hugs

Johnny

great day jennifer:

I'm glad to hear that. You've had a bad time of it lately. A little TLC your way, well it's your time to have a little luck come your way. Imight have to hang around and watch your technics for attracting guys. Sounds like you've got a great gift there. It's nice to hear the happy in you today. It's sweet music to my ears Jenny. I don't like seeing my friends being abused. The other day wasn't a very good one with your job treatment. I hope that things get better. Kathryn

What a great story, Jenn, and such a turnaround from yesterday. You really needed this, and I'm glad for you.

We get to the point where we stop trying, stop even thinking about it, and then it just becomes automatic. We no longer have to try to be female (or male, for our FtM brothers), we just become who we always have been. You've reached that level, and now its time to just enjoy. Believe me, the "Woman's Club" is a great place to be.

HUGS

Been using the wok on the back deck a lot the last few months.  Just got another stock of udon noodles from Amazon and we are using those in the stir fry with onions, peppers and a spicy peanut sauce.  I did this often in the 90's too, but back then I was just using a standard Coleman camp stove instead of this high BTU wok burner.  I've had the burner for a couple years, but haven't been using it regularly until recently.

I’m a lefty. Learned to be a bit ambidextrous for certain tools that assume right handedness like scissors, but couldn’t write with my right hand to save my life.

Tangent, adjacent, opposite...  It's still rock n' roll to me.  I don't know about the "in god we trust" part of the money, but I like the lady with the scale.  And then I look left at the Indian statue on my mantel of Guanyin feeding a drop of liquid to the dragon at her feet.  In god we trust?  The lady with the scale?  Maybe this is too binary.  And then on the other side of Guanyin is that kind of pelican wood bird that sits two feet tall that I hauled back from South America through the Panama canal.  The beak broke in 1998 and I carefully saved the pieces (as I usually do) and attached them back about a decade ago.  I used a drill to make a small hole and then put a finish nail in there.  Then a hole on those two pieces that needed to be attached.  Upper and Lower beak.  There is still a seam showing.  I could cover that up, but the beak is a bright yellow and well, it's better with all the pieces in place and I don't mind seeing the crack.  I guess that is the tangent and the other two are the opposite and adjacent. -money  Why don't coders always code the "-" action in their search fields?  It's not that difficult!

@April Marie Yes, it's something to shop for at least for 6-8 weeks.

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.

Yeah.  I like Nebula, that was where I watched it.   I posted the YouTube cause I figured more people could see it.

We agree on most of this... and the church/state thing is kind of a tangent anyways. Oops. LOL   I think it has long been established that all different kinds of groups have access to public funds. In my opinion, either everybody has access or nobody does. I would prefer "nobody."   Relying on public funds gives the government the power to take it away, and puts that power in the hands of whatever group controls the government at the moment... the news article that is the topic of this thread shows a clear example of that happening.  Organizations trust government at their peril.

More info on Abigail Thorne here: https://go.nebula.tv/philosophytube and, Dracula's ex-girlfriend, on Philosophy tube.   "The reason why Nebula is so cheap for what it is, is because there's no upper hierarchical group looking yo skim off the top. Imagine how much cheaper EVERYTHING could be if it was like that for every other service or product; if the money went straight to workers, not up a chain of command until it reached someone who did exactly "jack" to produce what's being sold.
