Cogiati And Me

Took the Cogiati. I am so happy that I was categorized Androgynous. For years I was Xing and thinking "Oh this is just some kind of kinky thing. It is not really part of my personality.

Well not any more. Following the test's questions I realized I was different than my "buddies", in some ways. More sensitive to others needs, nnot so quick to condemn, and more sensitive to others feelings. Also more intuitive and able to have great conversations with girls, and late women.

So much of my self was unexplainable especially when women would call me a "sensitive" man and say how unique that was. I never corelated{SP.} that with my cross dressing. But NOW :D" holy brain storm batman" I've put it together and am Me! What a relief.

One more thing. When I signed in to Laura's I was categorized as Androgynous, which surprised me, thought "No should be Cross Dresser"' little did I know how right the powers that be are. So happy to be so compleat,,Lovetyou You All,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Mia :)

Mia, I came here confused about what I was, I decided on Androgyne because to me it seemed to be a better fit then cross dresser, because it was also a little bit of my personality when not Xing. I have also been called a sensitive male and have ease relating to women more so then other men. Not that I am uncomfortable with men but just that I sometimes like talking just to women. Also many of the hobbys I've picked up like knitting are not traditionally masculine and I like hanging out with my 'girlfriends' and talking about knitting, fashion etc. But there are also times when I can be more traditionally masculine.

I now like to sometimes "let go" and just be more sensitive, and when I did that, and I'm alone, I'll sometimes dress up. Although that is a very recent thing. I started Xing this year when I moved in with my girlfriend just her and me. Perhaps that is just because I had ready access to female clothing. I'm not sure.

My thing now is that I feel like a pretender. Meaning I only started this recently (I'm 22 now) and it seems that the vast majority of folks can trace their confusion and actions back. I can't. I never dressed as a child. I was always more of a sensitive sort but that to me does not mean a whole lot as I also had anger problems as a kid (it's not really a sensitive act to knock a kids teeth out). Now I'm stuck thinking is this just a kink that has popped up and I should just view it as such and/or even forget about it?

Well this sucks, I was posting here to say "Hey you sound like where I am, this helps a lot. I think I am also now confirmed" but now after writing some I'm just feeling more crushing doubt. I'm going to post this here anyways even though it may hijack your thread :( sorry.

Soitne...... ur post did hijack the prior ideas!!!!!!!!!! omg go back to sckruel & get a real degree.... LMAO

Hey Soi-beans... good job on graduating... I'm sure you will be a monsterous success in whatever career you choose... im really happy you graduated!!! YEAAA for you :)

A few tests that i found better than the Cogiati

SAGE test is a good one .... includes most of the goatie (cogiati) test within the 135 or so ?s. The SAGE seems to be more, way more in depth. http://www.hemingways.org/GIDinfo/sage/test.htm

Sandra Bem's BSRI i found also helpful, but it is a psychological evaluation, but good really good for analyzing ones mas. & fem. traits.

Suggestion....... i found printing the tests & working on them over the time of a week was best.... because if i answer a ? now, i might answer different tomorrow after considering it for a while & might answer different in 5 days..... give yourself time to adjust your answer to reflect all of you over your entire life.... for me that helped. Also have other people take the tests on you, especially the BEM BSRI. IDK it just helped me to see how others viewed me.... turns out they looked at me when it came to traits, behaviors (not dress & looks) as androgynous, actually slightly more fem. than masculine. That helped me to see how others my mom & best friend looked at me.

please add me or email me if you need links, help or have questions..... [email protected]

I was wondering if there are any psychological or DIY tests for anatomical females. I didn't get too far into COGIATI before I realized I was on the wrong boat. Any info would be appreciated.

We always said, just be yourself. You are okay as you are!

Those tests are fun! You hadn't taken the Cogiati? That surprised me. I took it when I first joined Laura's and then later after I started HRT and wanted to see if there was any differencs. I scored probable the first time - i scored definate the second time. So there we are...

Love you

Lizzy

I don't have the reference at hand, but at a rally (I believe) here in NC, he remarked at how surprised he was at the hate he could stir up by mentioning trans people. Since all he personally stands for is Trump, I doubt that he personally gives a rat's a$$ about us.  But, it plays to his base.   Here's one https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-checks-crowd-over-crazy-063513389.html   "“I talk about transgender, everyone goes crazy. Who would have thought? Five years ago, you didn’t know what the hell it was.”"

Do you actually believe that the republican congress would vote for trans rights?  That seems to be the one thing left that they actually are united on.   I'm not convinced Biden is "destroying" the country.  I'm not a big fan, actually. However, since the stated goal of the Republican Party is my elimination (2025), I wouldn't be able to enjoy the coming conservative paradise anyway.  My survival as a free trans woman is kinda on the ballot.  So call me a "single issue   voter" it's out of necessity.   I stand by my original statement.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who think this way, I've been listening to what people had been recently saying, wondering why is he so hard on the Lgbt + community? Maybe there is something he's not telling?

I am concerned about what Trump will do to the transgender community. One group of his supporters are evangelical Christians. I want to emphasize that not all of these Christians are non-supportive, but there are a lot. When you add that transgender people are being singled out as a punching bag for many politicians, our lives become more in jeopardy. We need to stand up and fight back. We have a right to the same freedoms as everyone else.

My name is Jennifer, and used to be a part of this forum, going back to Laura's' Playground. I already know quite a few of the people here. I started transition about 15 years ago. My  gender markers are changed with Social Security and birth certificate. The reason I am returning is I believe I can help guide newer members through the pitfalls of their transitioning experience.   I lived in Arizona, and now live in Maine. And the first thing I want to emphasize is where you live can matter a lot. In Maine, I work in a hospital, and find many of my co-workers very accepting. I find the women more understanding and enjoy my journey more. Of course, this is a small sample, and your mileage may vary.    What I found as one of the most important topics when choosing a place to live. I found only one transgender doctor who understands, or is willing to monitor my HRT. But, he has stopped his regular practice and only sees some of his regular patients on Wednesday mornings. He has changed his career and teaches residents the rest of the week. He told me he wanted to teach other doctors how to work with transgender clients. This subject is woefully lacking in Medical School. I was using the transdermal patch, and we agreed to switch to estradiol valerate. He is working on more feminizing my body. I don't doubt he will be supportive when I decide to go through my surgery, hopefully next year. I will be on Medicare and they support surgery, if it is considered medically necessary.    That is enough for now, and I appreciate this site for all the help with transgender support.   Jennifer

trump only knows how to tear down and destroy. Actually doing something positive and building anything up seems to be beyond his grasp. It's such a a shame that so many people are so bent on trump's hatred and anger. Unhappy people all ☹️

We have customers real picky,I have a couple old bed sheets that I put over the seats.I order the paper floor mats that used and new car dealer use put on the floor. One customer, will complain if he sees a grease mark and knows it is not from me.

Not sure how you think that Trumps edicts will not make it through the courts. He owns them too. I can see Trump nominating Alina Habba to the Supreme Court. The Rs have already tainted the states with anti-trans legislation. Unless there is a huge blue wave in November that nobody sees coming, we will continue to be harassed. I am resigned to the fact that one day, we could be rounded up, and that is that. I would just as soon get it over with. All of the machinations about Trump breaking the law, and all of the punditry occurring in the media, is for naught. This guy has outclassed any efforts of organized crime to avoid punishment. It truly is amazing to watch how he mesmerizes members of his own party into being mindless.

Not everything Trump tries will make it through the courts.  I think Biden is blowing it big time in not trying to get trans-friendly legislation through Congress but instead he's relying on easily reversed regulations.     The DOE should be abolished. I agree. Hopefully that will happen.
    • Abigail Genevieve
Not everyone is a single issue voter.  If you are convinced Biden is destroying the country as a whole and Trump is not, you may well vote for Trump.

This should be a reminder to everybody that the president is not the legislature. Anything done by one president, can be undone by the next one. It just goes back and forth.   As for title IX, I'm against it. Not because of the protection that offers, but because I am against Federal involvement in education.  I would love to have a president and A legislature that would abolish Department of Education at the federal level. Even the states version of it is bad enough. Education is a local issue.
