Shoe size help?

My feet seem to be funny. I wear something like a 10 to an 11 in mens shoes depending on brand and style. I wear a ten to an 100 in womens too. Depending on brand and style. My rule of thumb is if its under 10 bucks and a size 10 I'll grab it and try it out at home. If I'm paying over 10 bucks I get the 11. I got a pair of wild high heel platforms in an 11 and they are almost too big, myfeet swim in them with the strap tighened down as much as I could. But then I can't count the number of redonated pairs of 10s I've gone through yet half the shoes in my closet are 10s and I love them all.

My suggestion would be hit the Goodwills, Salvation Armys and other thrift stores. Buy up several cheep pairs in differant styles in the 10, 11 and 12 range if you can find them that large and try them out. See what works for you. If they don't fit, redonate them and concider it your good deed for the day. If you can't find any 11s or 12s there try Kmart, they run into the 11s I know and maybe the 12s. Go ahead and try them on there, no one cares. The Kmartians aren't going to mock you or call the cops. If something fits, buy it there. I got a real nice pair of mary janes in candy red size 11 there that fit me like they were hand made for my feet for $15. Good deal I thought concidering the pair I wanted, snakeskin red platform stillettos, were $35.

Try 11w. Womens shoes are only a fraction of an inch shorter than mens for equal size, the typical problem is almost entirely in width. Keep your eyes open for the W or even wider.

Shoes sizes for women are a royal pain in the butt. If you like a brand or name and find the size that fits it is easy to stick with shoes under the same name. Steve Madden for example. In Maddens i am a true to size (TTS) 10 and almost all their 10s fit. Odd times i may do a 9.5.

Shoes by Italian designers i go 11 as they always size a size smaller than everyone else. No idea why. A good idea is to measure your foot. That way if you are online or ebaying, you can request insole measures.

I also consider material. Man made may or may not stretch with wear. Leather will stretch and i often go half size down if open toe or sandal. Some closed toe i may have to use a heel grip/liner if there is more stretch than anticipated, otherwise TTS usually works fine.

Generally in mens i am a 9, womens 9.5 to 10

good luck to you and i hope you find something to die for

Okay, I am perplexed. I used this guide to find my shoesize: http://shoes.about.com/od/fitcomfort/ss/measurefeet_2.htm

I measured at 11 5/16 inches long and 4 inches at the widest point. I used this chart for the size: http://shoes.about.com/od/fitcomfort/a/wshoeconversion.htm

I noticed that every inch in length was three shoe sizes, so that means I would be a size 13, precisely. For width, "average" is what I would be. Why is this perplexing? A few years ago, I couldn't even fit into a size 15 mens shoe without discomfort. Magically, my feet started to shrink and now I have a size 15, but I needed shoes as wide as they made them, still. Now, I notice that my shoes are once again pretty loose and they are causing blisters. But really, how do I go from a size 15 mens , as wide as you can get, to a size 13 women's of average width?

Next time I see some shoes, I'll be trying them on. If I can fit into a size 13, I want them. I think those charts are off or my feet are weird, though, because they say I am a size 12 in mens and I haven't been able to fit in a shoe that small since middle school XD

Who knows, maybe nature is once again working for my cause?

If you do a quick search, you can find instructions on measuring your feet to get your womens shoe size. I did and unfortunately Melissa was correct and mine is a wide shoe, 10w. Hard to find anywhere but online, and the selection tends to really suck.

Strangely, the size of my feet has been changing as I lose muscle mass. Unexpected, but not unpleasant or unwanted, I now find myself no longer sure of my shoe size. My rings fall off of my fingers as they have become thinner also.

What's a girl to do?

Id say just try out some shoes of various sizes, and dont trrust those shoe measuring things in the srtores, sometimes theyre not right..probably damaged somehow so they read wrong.

my sisters used to say a 9 and half womens, would be the 6 and half mens.. i used to wear a 6'5 mens for a long time.

later my feet chamged size somehow..i wore a 8 or 8.5 mens, but some brands seemed too tight, well i have extra wide feet though, so maybe thats part of it. last time i went to buy shoes..i felt like cinderella, but my glass slipper didnt fit!? But thats the size i wore before, in the same brand shoes..?? well i just tried on shoes tilli found ones that fit then. 10 extra wide in mens now.

i look at the old shoes next to the new ones and they dont seem to look very much different, even though theyre 2 sizes different.

I think,, some discount places probably get factory seconds, and they might not be sized right. and maybe some of these chinese companies, etc..just dont size things very well?? so I wouldnt pay so much attention to the tag inside, just whatever feels right when you buy it. you dont want to hurt your feet by wearing the wrong size shoes.

same thing is true with bras..brands and styles make it totally different than another one, you just sort of have to figure out what works best for you, regardless of the tags inside. Too tight or too loose can be a big waste of money and actually cause alot of pain.

There really is no "standardized" sizing.

IMHO. The variations in each size is usually because of different manufacturing and country of origin.

Try it on if it fits wear it. Makes it really tough for online shopping.

i used to find that Sears was one of the few stores that had actual width sizes available so i went there usually...

but later on they seemed to only get a few of each size and stick with the more common sizes.

started to wonder if id have to go find a shoemaker or what?

Payless are cool because theyre cheap, but the sizes vary..might be labelled goofy.

Kohls lately has a good variety of widths and brands these days. but their foot measurer thing wasnt measuring right. i noticed some screws had come off and were replaced..seemed like it affected the readings... i thought i was losing my mind! there was NO WAY I could fit into a shoe the size they said i'd fit into.

some brands dont even HAVE widths available. New Balance does have widths, so ive been sticking with those lately for general daily shoes.

I discovered yesterday that Dr. Scholls at Wal-Mart has a big selection of Wide sizes available in store now. The one I went to does, anyway, and it didn't last time I was there, so maybe they're becoming more available other places too. I got a pair and they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

I have seen a small change in my shoe size as I lose muscle mass as well... Ive gone from a 13-14 mens to a 12-13 mens (depending on the shoe)... pretty cool but still means that shopping for women's shoes is almost impossible. I have to go with more unisex styles that are sized in mens sizes. Very few womens shoes come in a size 14 much less a 15.

I just looked on amazon and they have a conversion from inches to woman's shoe size. Very helpful! My feet are 11 1/2 inches long so I wear a size 14 it says. Size 14 are 11 5/8 long so they should be the best fit. The best part is they have my boots in my size in stock!

I hope this helps hun :)

I find that brand and type of footwear make a big difference. For shoes, I'll take a size 9-9.5 in both men's and women's, but for women's boots so far, I take a 10.

I'm actually a 10.5 in mens, I find I can wear size 12 womens pretty confortably or 11W if you can find them tend to fit most of the time for me as well.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?
