Flattering Jeans for (short) FTM?

I'm a short ftm, pre-everything. And, I'm tired of wearing my 'girl' jeans. I've tried wearing some of my brother's old jeans but he has long legs and no hips at all so they look really strange on me. I'm in the lower weight but healthy-ish range and not particularly curvaceous, though I do have hips, and I've got short hobbit legs. I was wondering if there were any jeans that might compliment my body proportions while playing down my femininity. I'm a huge fan of skinny jeans... straight legs end up looking like bell bottoms on me, and bell bottoms look ridiculous on me. Oh, and also, I'm short, so any jeans that will make me look taller would be amazing.

I realize that I'm probably not giving you much to go on. :/

Pre T and until T had a chance to really redistribute my body weight I found that women's jeans looked more natural and fit better. Trying to wear guys jeans when they don't fit right ends up actually making someone look more rather than less girly. I went to thrift stores and tried on all kinds of jeans too so I knew what fit best in a place no one cared what I tried on and sometimes found bargains too. Faded Glory brand from Wal-Mart and Arizona from Penny's both come in a variety of styles and lengths and proportions and may be your best bet at finding what works best for you.

At 5'5" with fairly short legs I often shop in boys. I need mens through the shoulders and arms in shirts but boys jeans work a lot better. The proportions are slightly different and often they have slim or husky or long or short where adult jeans don't. Because the larger boy sizes are for teens the styles are usually good too.

With most basic jeans no one can tell what gender they were made for - the only difference is the proportions in the hips and waist.

I wear Levis 505 jeans and don't even come close to filling them in

If you're short, avoid really baggy jeans. I suggest bootcut. Most men just don't wear tight jeans anymore, and those that do tend to draw attention. Bootcut is loose enough to hide any curves you might have but skinny enough that your height won't stand out. Most places will have them in a pretty good range of lengths, you should be able to find something for your height.

But, yes, I will avoid baggy jeans.
