I recently realized I don't identify as a male. I have in the past joked about being androgynous when questioned on certain mannerisms or clothing choices, but it's only now that I've come to realize that it is a bigger part of my gender identity than I thought, and that I've been shying away from its implications.

I stumbled across this community and it seems pretty wonderful, so here I am, starting the process of figuring myself out instead of assuming I already have.

You are not alone, here at Lauras you will see there are many who know exactly how you feel . The support and warmth from everyone is empowering . There are many different forums with great Imformation in them . When you feel comfortable you can add a comment to any post or create a new topic of your own . I think you'll find this site to your liking, because there are many just like you; a little unsure where you fit in, wondering what the future holds, feeling a bit alone. Please make yourself at home, read through the forums, post in any of them, and ask any question, and we'll do our best to answer honestly.

A gender therapist can help if you really want to figure out where you are on the gender spectrum, but that's your choice, not a necessity. Through talking with others, reading, obtaining resources from outside Laura's, you can learn a lot, too.
