i just had another TG dream, in this one i'm in highschool 9th grade around june i just came out to everyone and i had only one friend who stuck by me, she was one of my few female friends, what happened was i was feeling bad about being ridiculed that day so while i was walking home from school my friend walked with me suddenly i felt a shot of pain, i dropped to my knees, my friend asked me if i was ok, i said i couldn't breath, she yelled for help, and looked into my eyes i felt like somthing was happening to me, she looked really shocked, i stood up again trying to get home to see my mom in case i was going to die, i felt like i was shrinking and my bones were shifting, the pain was so UNIMAGINABLE i dropped to my knees.. yet again but this time, i caughed up blood, and fainted, but then i saw outside of my body (sort of like a movie) my ex-best friend came to my side and also looked shocked and i saw behind him most of the student body was there....just starring at me, my ex-best friend picked me up (sort of like the way u see a husband dose when he is carrying his wife to there honeymoon bedroom)and i sort of remember him saying "we need to get him......i mean her to her house." then i just blacked out, after that i woke up laying on my couch with everyone who was there just starring at me, so i asked "what, are you guys just here to mock me?" then my ex friend said "no, we are here beacause we are worried" i said "why in the world would YOU guys want to help me after you all humiliated me at school?" then he said "um..... well somthing happened when you were walking home from school..." then he braught a mirror up to my face and i saw i was a girl, then this really really tiny green thing floated in front of me and i could hear this voice in my head "i heard you wanted to be a girl, im from another place which no human knows about, we are a society just like you, but much farther advanced, we have transsexuals where i come from, and a law we have is we need to have 100 tests with any new invention before it is put in market, you are my first test, it seems to have worked" i looked in the mirror again and i saw i had make up on and i looked at my finger nails and i also had red nail polish on, and while i was looked at my fingers i saw instead of wearing the male uniforms at my school i actually had the FEMALE UNIFORM on! so i asked the alien "why do i have make up, nail polish, and my clothing change from my school's male uniform the the female one? the alien then said "well the machine i used is similer to your earth guns i shoot a pill into your back and the chemicles leak to the rest of your body then when that happens a mist of extreamly advanced nano-bots goes over your clothing and acording to how the individual sees in their mind how they would look if they changed their appearence, including inanimate objects, to be that of the opposit gender, the mist will change it as such (if that is too complicated basicly i means when the mist went over my body beacause i knew women wear make-up and nail polish, the mist changed into make-up and nail polish on my body and beacause i was wearing my school's uniform and it was male the nano-bots warped my clothing to the female clothing) after he explained it all to me, i asked "so basicly im now i no longer have the same DNA and im a biological female?" he said "yes, now you will now have monthly periods, you will produce eggs, and have the ability to become pregnent" then he asked "since my test is done i am obligated to ask, since i did not have permission to do this test on you, would you like me to change you back?" then i said in front of everybody "absolutly not! i always dreamed about this moment and i want it to be this way forever" then a hot guy from my class come forward and said "since she is now a girl, i wouldnt be gay if i asked her out?" the alien said "no she is not 100% a girl it would not be concidered gay" so then then he asked me out!

i had that dream a couple days ago and i have been still having it since then.

Wow,

You dream in Spielberg like stories! How hard was it to wake up and realize that it was just a dream?

I never remember so much detail, I'm amazed!

Keep on dreaming, dreams are what keep us going!

I just had a new dream, in this one all of the girls decided that the boys were too insensitive and wanted to show them how hard it is being a girl, so they took all of the boys in school and against their will injected them with somthing that was made to change males into females for 24 hours, and the only way to make it perminent was to take another 2 injections before the 24 hours were up, at first the boys thought the girls were going to hurt them, and they asked me why i was just not caring what they did to me, and i said "i just dont care anymore what happens to me, the reason is beacause i've been keeping a secret, I hate being a boy, it disgusts me." and the girls were in the room and explained what they actuall were planning and said that any time during the process that i wanted to make it perminent, they would give me the two extra injections, so obivously i took the injections and they were very suportive, and helped me learn how to act like a proper girl, they taught me how to put make up on how to walk like a girl and every thing, and i saw myself in a mirror (as a girl) and i looked really beautiful, too bad they don't have that in real life. :(

That is the realm of dreams to make the difficult things in life easy and thee impossible possible. You are juat so desperatly wanting transition to be quick and easy - we all are. You want to be beautiful - that in itself makes you a woman! we are so obscesed with physical beauty that we forget it is in the eye of the beholder. You rpersonality will influence how people perseve your appearance. If you are really gorgeous you can get away with being a 'less than compasionate' woman - unattractive people have to be really nice (you have noticed how sweet I am). Your own self image projects to others, it is what helps you to pass and will help you to be perceived as pretty. Remember the you in your dreams and you will be beautiful!

Love ya,

Sally

Are you insulting or complementing yourself? lol

sara: you always have the most awesome dreams, mine are rarely this complicated, you could write them out as short stories and make a book :)

Let us know if you have any more :)

Well FI,

I meant it as an example, it is actually a variation on a line from the play "Harvey", the central character is Elwood P. Dodds and he decided that "To get along in life you can either be terribly clever or terribly pleasant and I found it to be so much easier to be terribly pleasant."

I don't consider myself a beauty, but I am kind of cute so that plus being reall sweet should push it over the top. :)

I agree on the complexity of your dreams and how well you remember them, wow.

Sally

Sara love the dreams and I want in the line for the alien's ray (hey how long is the line now). My dreams were always in technicolor and rather vivid just very rarely told anyone them. Mine always involved magic rather than super science (comes from being a fantasy fiction junkie-geek).

Sara we all do want transition to be quick as Sally says but we have to take it as it comes (that is true for all of life  ). Your attitude and personality make up alot (I would say about 75% - 85%) of how attractive you are to others. I know I have seen some truly physically attractive ladies (and some men too) I didn't want to have anything to do with (both when I was trying to be a guy and now as a woman) because their attitude was terrible and other ladies (and men too) who weren't "drop dead" gorgeous but just cute and I would rather be with and around them because of their personality and attitude. Wanting to be pretty shows that you are a woman no matter what your body shows, just let life happen and take it one day at a time sweetie and don't try to rush it because you will miss so much.

And Sally you are beautiful because your attitude makes you that way even more than you looks do (which is lovely anyway).

Denise (still trying to look pretty  )

Some anxiety is building up inside.

Suppressing your emotions because you’re afraid of them can be bad for your physical and mental health. Here’s what to do instead. When a toddler feels a “big” emotion, like anger or sadness, they tend to have a big tantrum on the floor. And these tantrums can be a lot to observe, full of thrashing, screaming, and tears. But a child reacts like this because the emotion they’re feeling is uncomfortable, maybe even painful.   Of course, as adults, we feel emotions too, and those feelings can be just as overwhelming, uncomfortable, or even painful as they were when we were children, even if we don’t let ourselves react in such a big way. But, sometimes, in our attempts to not give in to our emotions, we go too far: we run from them or suppress them — even if that harms us in the long run. Although there are many reasons we might suppress our emotions, one of them is that we are afraid of our emotions. Fear of emotions is called “animotophobia. It is not an official term in the DSM-5-TR. Still, fearing your emotions can have a significant impact on your well-being.

@KaitSo glad you are here. It's never too late to talk to your doctor. bI was 68 before I stopped lying to myself and talked to my doctor. He or she might be able to help. It may be easier to find an endocrinologist you specializes or a health care group who specializes. You might also seek out a therapist who specializes to help with HRT resources. Psychology Today can help find therapists who specialize. Glad you are here. WELCOME.

Good morning, everyone!   Coffee is flowing so my brain is beginning to function.    We've been busy caring for aging family members and trying to get the house open now that the weather is getting warmer. I've been working on getting the pool open and cleaned. It's almost ready for salt and starting up the heater. We may be swimming by next week.   But, it's raining here today so I guess I'll be stuck working inside.   Have a wonderful and safe, day!!

I had that same outcome from my first colonoscopy years ago. It just triggered more frequent colonoscopies for a period of time. Hopefully, that will be the same plan for you.

Biopsies came back mostly clear except one, one polyp came back with abnormal cell growth (pre-cancerous). It was completely removed during the colonoscopy so I don't know yet if further action needs to be taken.

Hey-o. My name's Kait. I haven't decided what to do about my last name yet. (Mononyms sound cool, but they're very problematic unfortunately).   I guess pronouns are important. They/them or it/its (strong preference for 'it/its').    Im not someone who's been active in the community for a long time, but I've known I was trans almost my whole life. It's just that financial, medical, and psychiatric struggles have kept it from the forefront of my priorities for 10 years or so. So basically during that entire time, I've been living as an AMAB, masculine-presenting person named kait. Which is not ideal, but I've been able to deal with it by dissociating from my body and viewing it as an appendage rather than as a 'self'.    Mostly I'm on here because I finally feel well enough mentally and physically to think about beginning HRT. Problem is, I really don't know where to start out what to do. I have an endocrinologist I see for an unrelated health issue, but honestly I don't have a very strong relationship with him. Is it best to start with my existing doctor? Or should I find an endocrinologist that specialises in this sub-field? What's the best available tech? Is 29 too late to be taken seriously about this by my doctor? I have no idea about these questions and so much more and I need help.   Side from trans stuff though, I'm the boringest person you'll probably ever know. I have a pretty rich inner life and a wonderful partner, but really all I do is work, sleep, and occasionally build tiny models.

I agree that porn is a really bad thing.  Bad in general, but probably gives a misleading view of trans folks.  If you don't see trans folks out in the wild, but you see plenty of them online, that is going to give the impression that it is primarily sex-driven, and that trans folks are interested in sex with just about everybody all the time.  Similar to what people often assume about being bisexual.    I'm androgynous, so sometimes people look at me this way.  Especially if my husband and I are together (if they don't assume I'm his kid) people get that "judgy" look on their faces.  You can sort of read their minds.  I even heard on lady say something like, "Oh, that's just so wrong" when we came out of a shower at a truck stop.  I mean, I like sex and we have a great connection in that way, but its not "THE REASON" for our relationship.

Thank you for sharing! This is very much where I am currently. Questioning my motivation's, wondering where this is going and do I have the fortitude to continue the journey?   I too like to dress in what would probably be eye catching in your typically suburb. Not in a revealing way but beyond casual. Not that I’ve presented in public yet. Trying to build the confidence to dress for the next trans pride event locally ;)
