So, odd question:

I need to wear sunglasses at almost all times because I have pretty severe light sensitivity. As a man this is fine, I have several sets of regular glasses with tinted lenses and I look perfectly acceptable indoors.

BUT, when I try and pass as a woman (and I'm about to fully transsiotion) wearing sunglasses just seems to break my ability to pass. There don't seem to be any female sunglasses that I've found that look acceptable to wear indoors or at night. I really wish sunglass tinted contacts existed but they don't!

Does anyone have any suggestions on a style of female sunglasses that would look acceptable for indoor and nighttime use?

I'm sure that there would be feminine sunglasses somewhere. If not, maybe you should go for gender-neutral sunglasses?

There are plenty of feminine sun glasses, it's just that none of them really seem to look acceptable indoors or at night, most of them look too gaudy. And my problem so far with gender nuetral glasses is that they just ruin my ability to pass.

You should be able to get a tinted pair of lens put into a normal female glasses frame. I think you should ask at you optometrist. In time we have to tell all our health care providers and they are (in my experience) non judgmental.

You can get tinted lenses in any pair of glasses. Go to any place that sells glasses, find a pair you like, and tell them to put tinted lenses in . Easy peasy.

I personally think the right pair of glasses can really complete a feminine look. I have my eyes on a few pairs (no pun intended)

I am trying to move to female glasses and have no money so I wear inexpensive female readers. Not recommended. My two pairs of yucky glasses are both tinted. The regular pair is photo gray and they are way improved from the old days. Changing much faster and darker than any old ones and tint well in synthetic lighting. My safety glasses on the other hand, I tried to economize and went with gradient tint. You can order them in various gradation and darkness. Ditto to all the above posts. Jody

So the problem I've found is that just throwing tinted lenses in feminine reading glasses (which is what I do for male glasses and it looks fine) looks really off for some reason. I can't place my finger on it, it draws too much attention?
