Castration, anyone got advice?

I have been reading up on castration and the effects it has to the male body and what I have read is greatly desirable to me. I can not resist the urge to self gratification once a day which I hate, have a terrible temper and I am keen to feminize my body so that when I CD (MTF) I look a lot more believable. I have no wishes to follow through with SRS and intend to keep the penis, getting rid of the penis would also be a bit of a deal breaker with the wife. I have very little interest in actual sex so I really don't care if my sex drive does disappear but am still curious to know if castrated males can still obtain an erection (for my wife's benefit) and orgasm? I am really keen to know of anyone else s experiences who have been castrated but kept the penis.

The other really big one for me is how much easier does it make tucking?

From what you're saying, I really think you should consider the medication route before resorting to full removal of testicles. In either case, you're likely going to need a recommendation letter from a qualified professional. With medication, you have a much better chance of remaining sexually functional, particularly since your doctor can adjust your medications to keep your testosterone level high enough to be able to maintain function. With an orchiectomy, you will have almost no testosterone produced by your body, which means you will need to medicate anyway, and you'll pretty much have to permanently if you wish any sexual function. If you immediately resort to orchiectomy, there's no going back from that, but if you start with chemical castration, that is reversible if you decide it's not working for you and your wife, or you can choose to get the orchiectomy later if you're not satisfied with the effects of the medications.

I would strongly suggest you discuss this with a gender therapist before making a decision.

I agree with my friend Shilo, going the medication route gives you much more flexibility should life's circumstances change. Medication over an extended period of time, will reduce male function however.

If you are keen to feminize however Androgen suppression along with Estrogen treatment is the most recommended course. Talk to a professional, to see if this is right for you.

HRT has helped the tucking chore for me. HRT solved the "male" issues you describe for me, no more hot head, no more uncontrollable "urges", so much calmer, life for me is much better without T boiling in my blood, it's a small miracle. I have 2 beautiful daughters, and my wife and I are past the child rearing years thank you very much.

Good luck mate

Hmm, groundhog day? This looks like a thread posted on 5Nov12. I went back to it but it has many different replies.

I don't know how to link threads and posts, maybe someone can teach me some time.

Trust us, HRT solves all that and more, unless you're twenty one years old and monster hung. Happy tucking. Jody

I am not a therapist or doctor, but i would recommend discussing getting surgically castrated with a therapist, no reputable doctor would surgically castrate you without a recommendation from a therapist. A therapist most likely would want a person to go the chemical castration route before actual surgical castration to see if it is right for them. In either case you may or may not be able to achieve and keep an erection, having been on hrt which chemically castrated me before i had my srs, i could not achieve an erection but i know several people who could, this is one of those YMMV things that you won't know until you are chemically castrated for awhile, ask yourself this, if you are surgically castrated and do not get the desired results that you want and there is no going back, then what do you do.

Surgical castration will remove all testosterone from your body, all except what little the adrenal glands produce, your body needs either testosterone or estrogen to function properly, without replacing it typical symptoms (similar to those experienced by menopausal women) include hot flashes, gradual bone-density loss resulting in osteoporosis, and potential weight gain.

Ones most powerfull sex organ is the mind. Though having a body that can fallow threw with the minds wishes is helpfull. Typically removal of testies will result in complete atrophy of the male sex drive and genitals. while your milage may vary statment holds true to chemical castration via hrt . it has been my experience with those i know who have went the surgical route. that it will nuke ones sexdrive.i have even heard of post srs women , taking testosterone to put the wind back in thier sails, sexually speaking . so it may make it extremely hard to carry on a sexual relationship with your wife , if you could still maintain the amount of desire needed to carry on such an activity at all.

See a gender therapist , as you would need to, to even get the clearance for the operation anyway. this is not a surgery one just pops into the surgons office and is like " hey, here is my money , castrate me "

Hello @The Lake, Welcome to our forum. I’m intrigued by your introduction and would enjoy reading more about your backstory. We all have very unique journeys and yours is not one I have come across often. As you become more comfortable with our community, maybe you could share more aout how your gender identity evolved, what difficulties you confronted and endured and what some of your successes were along the way. Also, do you see yourself involved in a future transition of roles, presentation, social, physical, or something else entirely? There is never any pressure to share a thing here. So feel free to share as little or as much as you like. We are a very open-minded nonjudgmental group who enjoy learning new things from our members.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

Welcome @gizgizgizzie, It’s nice to have you in the fold. We are a very diverse group so you’ll fit in just fine. Right now, society at large is getting bombarded with misinformation, bait and switch tactics, propaganda and lies so it’s no wonder no one can get it right. I don’t come out and explain things about my gender identity as much these days but when I do it’s amazing how little these people know about our transgender community in 2024.   Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. I hope to learn more about you as you become more acclimated and active within our forum.   Warmest Regards, Susan R🌷

Speaking of hair days…for me, hair has always been the part of my presentation that had the most impact on my overall view of myself. It was much worse for me earlier in my transition. I enjoy experimenting with new hair styles so once in a while, I’ll end up completely redoing my hair because it somehow reminded me of my old self. Self image is a strange yet powerful thing and it take a lot of time and effort to change it.

I am working on a solo music project and I decided a few years ago I wanted to do female lead vocals. I’ve played instrumental music most of my life and sung as a male, mostly backup and harmony though, but very little lead. I never liked my male voice. People always clocked me as female on the phone so I’ve always had a more feminine voice. A little over two years ago I started training my female voice to sing and it has been a lot of fun, though I’m still not where I want to be. Consistency is my biggest challenge.    I try to make practice fun or I don’t stick with it. So I do a lot of singing along with my favorite cover songs…I use a vocal fader, and practice with a microphone, and often just record the blend with my phone to evaluate where I’m at and see what I need to work on. If possible I find karaoke mixes on YouTube where the lead vocal is removed and sing along to that.   I’m not sure I can offer much advice, I just do a lot of listening back and adjusting my technique and practicing until I like how I sound. Just a lot of practice. It will probably take longer than you hope to get where you want to be :) High notes will be challenging but every singer has to build up the muscles and technique and breath support and stretch the vocal chords and then their range will expand. My higher notes are in tune, but often sound strained, probably because they are. Some of that is tensing up in anticipation which I need to train myself out of doing.    I think “trans voice lessons” on YouTube is one of the best channels for tips and theory. Once you’ve found your singing voice and have that relatively consistent, pretty much it’s just working on technique, styling, articulation, range, like any singer would.

I sometimes look too critically when I look in mirrors. If I’m presenting as male, I think I look too feminine. If I am presenting female then I think I look too masculine. It’s very irritating! Sometimes I think I get it down right. I guess everybody has their good and bad hair days and such, though.

https://www.hrc.org/news/reyna-hernandez-latina-trans-woman-salon-owner-and-vibrant-spirit-killed-in-washington-state   This case is unusual, in that the victim was murdered in the U.S. and her body driven all the way to Mexico, presumably to hide evidence and confuse the authorities.    May Reyna rest in peace, and her vicious killer convicted and sentenced to a very long term behind bars.   Carolyn Marie

I cooked a breaded bone-in pork chop (seared in iron skillet then into the oven) an artichoke (w/mayo) and a frozen mac n' cheese that claimed it was "The Best Mac n' Cheese" ... and it was actually pretty good.
