I Gots Undies!

So, I finally got up the courage to walk into Victoria's Secret today in the Mall I work at, aimimg to buy underwear more suited to my current "mindset". Was noticably confused (like most male-looking people in there), and was immediately asked if I needed a hand. The sales girl pointed me the right direction, and I walked back, avoiding some of the lacier and flashier stuff, and picked out some basic cotton panties. Wasn't sure of sizes, so I snagged a couple smalls, and a few mediums. Tried the "boy-shorts" style (comfy, bit girly than I thought I'd be ok with), the bikini style (VERY girly), and the high-cut "brief" style (modest).

The bikini's were a little snug, but the high-cut....omg. As soon as I put them on, I felt happier than I did all day. It was immediately the most comfortable I've felt in underwear in a LONG time. I could've lit the house with my smile. Is this how it's supposed to feel, getting in touch with this side of myself I've squelshed down and treated like crap for so many years? I mean, I guess I got a bit of a rush at first- probably how crossdressers feel- but it went away, and then I felt this huge sense of self-satisfaction, like I was finally starting to let some of my prejuduce and angst at my inner feelings go. It felt *right*.

I felt guilty at not letting my signifigant other know- I did buy her a couple pairs, and she gushed over them- and I wish I could make her understand. I've been angry all week, putting on boxers under my jeans, grumpily shoving myself into a role I feel outdated in. I tried not to feel guilty, and just say, "ok- this is a purchase for ME to feel better about MYSELF- to help dig out who I AM, instead of burying it in self-doubt and anger."

And it worked. Still smiling. I think this is how I'm supposed to be.

That is a nice story The modest undies do tend to lead to the best comfort, I find. My personal ones I wear are very ungirly (But not masculine) and my theory is that since no one sees my undies, they should be only be judged by comfort

I keep my last old pair of male chonies on the floor of my wall-in closet. I keep them there so I can kick them around, they did that to me for too many years. Enjoy your new comfort!

Congrats on your new underlife that has surfaced. The biggest thing is going to the mall and having the guts to go to the store and by them in person. That was a hurdle for me. You might want to very slowly breach the subject with your SO or maybe not. Its certainly up to you.

Gratz to a successful panty adventure. I can remember that feeling, the lost excitement and thrill. Since my first pairs years ago, I have had a few renewed moments of that excitement as I ditched the old quick purchases. Upgrading to my true style and finding the brand that just fits my girly girl. I love my tangas the most and I just need them to match my bras, and if they are not Chantelle, they are only second best lol.

All my old boxers I still have and they make great rags and brush cleaners for when I am doing some paintings. Last time Ieper them was maybe 6 years ago haha .

Yup, I made my first undergarment purchases mail-order, too Although I did buy my first pocketbook and shoes in person (because they were a birthday gift for my girlfriend ).

Hi Emmie, I found Kohls was a great place to buy underwear, both online and in store. They always seem to have something nice on sale for a song and so many choices. My favorite has quickly became hipsters due to how well they fit me across different brands. I'm not that keen on VS personally as I've noticed their quality is not that great for the prices they are asking, though they do tend to give away alot of free basic underwear and bras if you have their card.
