Today was Letter day

I sent out the vast majority of the letters I have been working on for five months, more than 25 of them. Yes it's close to Christmas, and in fact these will be following Christmas cards that were only mailed five days before these disclosure letters. All of the letters have some level of personalization.

Maybe some Christmas Spirit will rub off on them!

Regardless, It's been a hold up on progress, and no my gender therapist did not want them going out just yet. She was acting as a overpaid editor. Too late now... I doubt this will burn any bridges, she will be unhappy, and then get over it, we need to move on, five months plus is too long.

The majority of people receiving letters are orthodox Catholics. That has mixed possibilities, not all of them good. Some replies are sure to make it right back to this thread, from me seeking advice. A large number of disclosures like this will keep everyone informed at the same level. The "trunks" of family communications tree were obvious targets for the letters. For the 25 plus letters I sent may reach as many as 500 people when catholic families with kids disseminate this new status. I have some apprehension about what will transpire in the coming months of course.

Well with the holidays there was surely plenty of talk between family members, but only a little feedback has reached me... For strictly score-keeping purposes, I have 3 of 3 positive feed-backs and 1 neutral, incidental contact. 1 person has gone ahead and asked for continuous updates. Another cool one was a conservative couple that are relatives, I was ambigous about what their response would be, but I got a "Merry Christmas", and "love you" in their short response.

I have recieved no long form letters yet, just positive acknowledgement massages. The conservative couple mentioned said they will be writing a proper letter. This isn't bad for the time of year, not at all, a typical response rate in my family was only around 20% for my wedding invitation years ago. For the 26 letters that I believe made their destinations a feedback of 3+ is great!

Two letters got kicked back in the mail, one to an estranged relative, back to detective work on that address, and 1 for no good reason. I'll just re-mail the known good address in January, it's a business relationship that I'll be engaging in again in 2015 at the earliest.
