Dr Richard Curtis, London Gender Clinic

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I posted here. There was a bit of a falling out last time but someone brought this to my attention and I couldn't see a post about it and I thought it was important so I decided to post.

Dr Richard Curtis from the London Gender clinic is under investigation for, essentially, abuse of power. I'm not sure if it's okay to give personal opinion on things like this but. I've had two appointments with him, and I said to my family right from the get go "this is wrong, he seems irresponsible and I don't feel like he knows what he's doing." Now that I've seen this article, I suppose it pans out a little bit. For me, I was mostly just with him in the hope of a referral letter for SRS by the end of the year, but now I'm considering switching doctors, mostly because I don't want to come to getting SRS in a year, only to have the clinic turn round and say "sorry, we don't accept referrals from Dr Curtis as he's under investigation"

My second question was, for other people in England. I live in south manchester and travel to London to see him every few months for appointments. Does anyone have any alternatives that they would reccomend to this place? I understand there's a similar sort of gender clinic in manchester but it seemed a bit seedy from the website so I was a bit worried about it. If anyone has any reccomendations or experiences of other places to go that can give referral letters for SRS for patients under their care, I would greatly appreciate it.
