So even though I'm not really into the whole horror genre, people keep gifting me games in this series so I finally recently decided to give it a go. I've actually really grown to like this series! I've been playing Dead Space 3 the last week or so for PC and it's definitely the best one so far, though I'm still working through on my first play through.

Dead Space 3 happens to be co-op too! So I guess I was wondering if anyone else has been playing or tried this series out? :D

Yeah I know how that is, my video card's fan started to die and I'm not technical enough to replace the onboard fan my self. I actually bought a decent midrange card recently unfortunately I think the GPU is slightly defective as I'm getting very intermittent artifacts. Unfortunately I didn't really notice until the 30 days RMA period had gone by. It's not too bad though just disappointing.

It's a great game though! It's not quite survival horror like the previous games on the basic mode, but the story and game play are really solid the weapon customization is such a huge improvement from the previous system! :) I've had a chance to try the co-op as well, and there are a few co-op only missions that are done soo well. They are somewhat different experiences depending on which of the 2 Characters your playing as when you do them. It's probably the best co-op experience Ive had since Borderlands 2 so I really recommend it.

i really want this, but can't justify the money. (even though I just bought a new graphics card and mobo lol!)

is it out on PC yet?

Yep, that's what I've been playing it on! :)

I've not played 3 :) I sort of lost interest in the series after finishing the second one. The jump scares could only get to me so many times and after a while I was able to predict a good majority of them :P The first one though was the first horror type game I have ever played and it absolutely terrified me but I guess that's a good thing right? xP

None of them really terrify me, I just like good sci-fi! lol. The third one is really good though and they aren't really going for the Horror Survival theme anymore its more of a sci-fi epic type game then the other 2. I own the first one, still haven't played it though right now I'm too busy playing through the Mass Effect trilogy again! lol

I played the first one all the way through and really enjoyed it. Life has a way of eating time so never managed any more.

haha! they aren't really scary I suppose but i'm a baby when it comes to such things ;A; xP Just a bunch of jump scares :)

The first one really set up a creepy atmosphere however that had me on edge. Like I was jumping at things that were not even there the vast majority of the time and that is what I loved about the first one :P The second one started the trend of it being all action based though I think. I ran my way through most of the game with only a few on edge creepy moments compared to the first :P Once you're done you should totally check it out!

Mass effect was quite fun too! I love bioware. I still play Knights of the Old Republic as I never get bored of playing through them really n_n The company has just always made fun games with interesting stories :)

With school lately all I have really gotten to play is Pokemon Black 2 though >w< and I can't wait for Animal Crossing to come out ^^

Haven't had a whole lot of time to play games lately, but the Dead Space series has always interested me. Can you play a female character in it?

Still haven't played any of the Mass Effects either :(

I'm afraid not Kay, you play as Isaac Clarke a Ship Systems Engineer in all 3 games. It's still a fun game though.

Mass Effect on the other hand Commander Shepard can be male or female, so that one is definitely a yes!

Ah, I figured as much on Dead Space. Mass Effect is on my list of games I have to play some day. Some day ;)

Isaac Clarke is one of my favorite protagonists in recent years; just a messed-up guy perennially on the wrong place/wrong time, and making the best of it. I loved the claustrophobia of the Ishimura in the 1st game, and the way the game just ramps up the crazy in visuals and audio as the story progresses. Soooo intense for late-night gaming! :D

Society is preserved by passing on proper roles for people, which works for the 90+ percent that it works for.   We were all taught from an early age that breaking out of the classification was a shameful thing, even when, actually, it is not.

I'm probably showing my age.  I haven't looked at a guest count in a long time.  Doing FB and staying off forums for a while.  Previous forum use had fewer bots if any and guests were actual people, mostly, unlike today.    Any AIs or bots struggling with GD are welcome.  I would love to read your introduction.

I've seen this on a lot of forums tbh. That's how a lot of content ends up on internet archives. You've got loads of bots scanning the site at all times and archiving it. Forums are actually nice (in comparison to social media) in that the guest count gives you a pretty good idea of how actively the site's content is being archived. Basically just don't post anything you don't want archived.

Kids are resiliant with therapy and strong support ;-)    They were all elementary age when their dad died and are teens now, and how they've grown and developed as young people, already, takes my breath away.   I'm working on communicating changes clearly and without shame, which is difficult basically all the time because of feeling guilty over doing gender "wrong" for so long. Working on that myself! <3

Allow me to add that people should think twice about posting pictures of themselves, with the facial recognition software that is out there.  Those in stealth or who are not fully out may discover they are suddenly and unwillingly fully out in ways they wish had not happened.

Funny how when i read the topic name i thought you were asking about the study of plants and animals.  I'm a bit into that as a farmer at va time when a cell phone makes plant  for insect identification easier than it has ever been.    Now on to your topic.  I don't farm in the nude.  I have wondered at whether i would skinny dip as i did as a kid without thought of how my body might affect others.  The effects of hormones makes me different from the average person and perhaps i'm "neither fish nor fowl".  I would certainly depend on who my fellow passengers on that cruise would be.   Hugs,   Charlize

This is also a relatively small forum and it can take a long time, seemingly, for someone to get around to replying to a post.

I am also pretty sure that several of them are folks who are "trans curious".  Sometimes folks who are trying to find their own identity, are attracted to trans folks or who are simply interested in the trans community.   There may also be some who wish to do us harm which is why ......... I've just learned to smile figuring "i'm on candid camera".   I'm sure many of our younger members never experienced that show so my age is showing.   Hugs,   Charlize

Most of those "guests" are web bots from China, Indonesia, France etc. looking us over. They are mostly benign.  All they can see or gain access to are the general forums.  Members should be careful not to post anything that could readily identify themselves such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. They do not have access to our gallery, blogs or private messenger. They seem to haunt all forums. Not just us. I should add that they can make us known across the internet. That's how prospective members find us. Google would be a good example.

Heck I didn't even know they could go up that high! I just have a four burner and one to keep stuff warm. What kind of pies did you make?

That's all the matters.   Well me and the wife rode to Perkins for breakfast. As we were waiting for our food. Being it is Sunday There are a few gentleman in suits, my guess from church. I think to myself. I hope I never have to wear one of those monkey suits ever again. Now a nice dress maybe.   Hugs,   Kymmie

From time to time I've looked at 'Who Is Online" and I have consistently noticed that members are ALWAYS outnumbered by Guests by a wide margin, sometimes, like a minute ago, by more than a 10:1 margin.  I have never seen that before on an internet forum.  It can be explained partly by the nature of what this is, that it draws the curious and they are certainly welcome to read here, and to join, but it leaves me with a feeling of being in a fishbowl.  I wonder who ARE these people?  Donald Trump, is that you? Biden? Sinwar? Putin?  We can only guess.
