Canadian Gender Expression Issues

As a member of the federal Liberal Party I am think on asking each of the candidates for their views on trans, Intersexed, two spirited, etc issues. I was just wondering what issues do you think are important and should be asked about?

I hope that I can take these ideas and get them to become party policy.

Well, the surgeries aren't covered over here.

They're not covered here in N.S. either. I know it's been under review and rejected several times, at least according to my therapist. I doubt anything would be done about that on a federal level, though, since health care is handled provincially for the most part.

That sucks, I am glad B.C. covers them even hormones.

They have power with the Canada Health Act they can also tie health transfers specifically for surgeries.
