So yeah this game looks interesting. Coming from wow it just looks like maybe I could sink my fangs into this. I am a little worried it's gonna be under NCsoft but some of the designers or something from WoW have helped with it. It's kinda hard for me to get into games like rift and so on. They seemed to have a good concept but the graphics were just too much for me. On that same note I am also worried they might not take this seriously... Then again WoW seemed to be already there, so many irl/meme references it got kind of old after a while. I love wow don't get me wrong but I feel like it's time to try something new. *crosses her fingers that wildstar will hold up and not be a pay to win game within a year*

Well, my personal opinion is.. I don't trust NCSoft after all of the MMOs from them that I liked that they closed. Like City of Heroes.. le sigh. But looking at Wildstar, I dunno looks somewhat interesting and I'm always out to support more Sci-Fi titles! Too much fantasy in the MMO market these days. One thing I wanna point out though is that I used to share the same opinion about F2P being Pay to win, but after having played a few MMOs that have gone f2p the model really isn't that bad. A lot of f2p titles aren't true f2p they are hybrid systems, I play Star Wars the Old Republic and I just kept my subscription going so I pay 14.99 a month like I did when it was sub only. So I get a ton more features that f2p players have to pay for, and I get a stipend of Cartel Coins (the cash store currency) that I spend on totally silly vanity items.

Times are a changing with MMOs and hybrid models are becoming more and more common but they aren't all horrible! Once you open your mind to it, there is ALOT more to experience in the multiplayer universe then wow! I may check out Wildstar my self too.

Yeah City of Heroes was awesome. I was a subscriber until they closed it down Not sure I'd totally trust NCSoft again.

I have a LotRO sub, though I haven't played in a while. I also play EQMac now and then, that's actually still fun (and a real challenge!)

Lately I've been Minecrafting a bit, when I'm not on SL. So many ways to relax that aren't sitting in front of the TV

Yeah I tried city of heroes, Lotro, Swotor, guild wars 2, and oh guh what was that other one :x Rift I liked them a lot but my problem wasn't that they were bad its just they gave me really bad motion sickness. Wow's cartoony and stylized graphics don't throttle my eyes so much. However what I saw I really liked, I reeeeeeaaalllly hope this one makes it, and I will be honest, the second I saw the Aurin I was like oh yes I have to play this. My brother plays swotor. It's a good game and I liked that mercenary class. (yeah I don't remember the class :x)

Yeah that's exactly what I worry about, then again if it's fun I will still play it. I loved the animation of the Aurin, it was almost so very pixar like. I looooooooved lotro. It was the only other game I could play as much as wow. The outfits, the ranger class and the dyes and all of it was amazing. I don't remember getting sick playing that one. Guild wars 2 was amazing but guh it killed my head, throbbing migraines :x Rift was kinda just, it was good but the run cycle was kinda wonky.

Just watched the trailer for Wildstar. It looks interesting. I like the art style. The storyline seems like it'll be fun. And of course I love Sci-Fi.

But no OSX client is a deal breaker for me The developers haven't committed to one so it looks like it "might happen some time after release."

Sure, ok. Elder Scrolls is supporting OSX natively from alpha on. And I'm signed up for the beta so maybe the Wildstar devs made my decision for me

Yeah I am hoping they make it 32 bit compatible :x Also XP compatible

It does look interesting. I signed up for Beta, so we will see.. however honestly I haven;t found a mmo in a long time that could keep my interest for more than a few months.
