Dealing with Eyebrows

How do I deal with my eyebrows? Simply getting them waxed once enough isn't enough, but I don't want to spend the time/money to have it done every week like they need. I can't get them permanently shaped without reverting to the natural male brow shape (I have a thick, bushy unibrow when not waxed/tweezed), which isn't an option because I'm full time already. They're also thick enough and grow back fast enough that tweezing them isn't really practical. What can I do?

Mine grow back fast enough as well. I have the shape I want and i keep them as such with my brow razor. Starting Wed. my electrolysis lady is going to start zapping the unwanted. I really can not wait till they are just done with. I get my brow razors from Sephora, careful as they are super sharp.

My laser clinic offers brow laser, they told me to get it shaped and if I like it I could come in when it starts to grow out and they could laser along the established shape I'm considering this because I don't wanna get waxed every other week! lol

I'm getting electrolysis done on mine. She (the tech) forbid me from touching my brows and letting them grow out so she can shape them correctly because I had been doing it all wrong. It was a test of willpower to not clean up my brows over the last 6 weeks. I just keep telling myself the end result will be totally worth it.

I use tweezers every few days but i am blessed by being a natural blond so if i am not perfect it doesn't show too much. It still took a good bit of time to work them up and get them "right". It is a pain (in fact i sometimes tear up), but with light hair laser isn't possible. Maybe after a few years of HRT i'll see if i need electro. Beauty is fun if difficult. It was easier being a sloppy guy but i so enjoy being as pretty as i can be.

Hugs,

Charlie

Unfortunately "grow them out and let the laser clinic shape them" won't work for me. I don't pass if my eyebrows are allowed to grow out. They day they were all grown out just before my monthly was the same day that campus dining started using male pronouns around me, and also the day I decided that waxing alone wasn't enough.

I get mine threaded. I went to a place in one of our local malls last weekend with my friend to show her how cool it was. Its a pretty quick and painless process and I got them slightly arched this time too. I usually get them done every month or so and its pretty cheap to do at about $8 a treatment. I picked up some eyebrow gel and powder to make them match my hair and loved the effect!

Yeah, that was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded. It was actually pretty cool, and I was impressed by how quickly and painlessly it was done. I definitely will go back again.

Couldn't convince Cassie to buy me that pink sapphire tennis bracelet, though. :dunno:

I have thick eyebrows as well, not to mention a unibrow if I let it go unchecked. I have been tempted to get my eyebrows threaded, but haven't taken the plunge yet. All I do for the moment is constantly stay on top of my brows every few days by using a brow razor on them. At some point I will have them done professionally.

Hi Mara, If you Google the definition of threading eyebrows there's a nice wiki entry on it that explains the background and history but basically its precision hair removal using a cotton thread several hairs at a time which allows the person doing it to shape your eyebrows both quickly and relatively painlessly. I started having it done about 12 years ago while stationed overseas as it can tame the shaggiest eyebrows and make a person look years younger. B)

Now I see threading salons all over the place in Virginia, so its really taken off here in a good way.

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.

This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.

Welcome to the party, M.A.     Sounds chaotic haha, I can confidently say that living with only two children the same age is stressful enough, much less three!

Things hit the fan today. I was reminded that "this is not a gender fluid establishment."   I had changed my preferred name and gender at the hospital on their app. My x-ray report came in with my preferred name and gender. It was not appreciated by the centre. 😬

I'm not a nutritionist but I've gone on bulking diets in the past so I can suggest a couple things to try. Foremost, food-prep stuff that you like to eat. Any 'real food' that usually sounds good to you. That way, you don't have the time-sink or hassle of cooking for every meal. You're more likely to eat if stuff if it's convenient and mostly ready. For example, I'll spend an hour or so one evening prepping burrito ingredients that will last me the next 3 nights. Then it's just a matter of microwaving the beef/beans and throwing them into a tortilla; takes 5 min.   If you need food 'on the go' often, consider prepping smoothies in advance pre-separated out into individual containers. I personally like low-no fat yogurt blended with fruit and, here's the weird part, those water flavor drops. They add sweetness without dumping in excess sugar. Insulated containers will keep them reasonably fresh non-refridgerated all day so they can even be tossed into a backpack.    Hope of those sparked some ideas!

I did get a sorry from the mechanic, saying it was all on him. The boss just said I just went by what I was shown. I didn't look at the paper work. I thought maybe you should before jumping down someones throat.   I am still in the market. Just waiting to find the right one.   Hugs, Kymmie
