Just got my 1st pair of high-heels

Have recently got my first pair of high-heel shoes (4,5" heel). Its a shiny black and it's totally awesome. It was hard for me to find those where I live due to my shoe size (around 15 US female size-it's hard enough to get man shoes here), but I found a website that has tons of options for a fair price. It was the first time I walked in high heels and it's just amazing. It's sexy, it's exciting and kinda fearsome, as I still dont have the appropriate balance.

best bucks ever spent. EVER.

Congrats on your new shoes..I rarely ever wear heels as I feel am to tall to be doing so. But yes it is a great feel to walk in a nice pair of heels..Guess I was a natural as never had a balance issue in heels took to them like a fish takes to water.

@ gg_br_alex, 4.5 inch heel, wow that is fearsome alright. I started out with one an half inch heels and slowly increased to 3 and half inch heels. I tried 4 inch heels, my ankles are to weak to walk in those. 3 and half inch heel is a fearsome height for me ;)

I love my six inch platform stilletos, no tall is too tall. I gaze out across the top of the crowd and I wish to thank all the little people for my success! Giggle.

I can't do flats. They are well??? Too Flat! Sometimes I do like to stand on the street and talk to friends standing on the sidewalk. I look up at them and feel short. It is a lovely feeling. I guess I just like to be able to identify with people. Maybe I'm a four foot two girl, trapped in a six foot body. Giggle. Hug. JodyAnn

Well done GG

I totally love my heels but apart from some thigh boots at 4.5 inches, most of mine are at 2-4 inches. I wobbled a bit on my first two days, but now they feel as natural as anything. And I find there is nothing to beat the fantastic "walking tall" feeling of heels, a straight back (easier in heels) and a good stride. I love heels! Unfortunately I've developed a dodgy nerve in my left foot so I have to keep the heel height down. But boots and heels? Nothing better!

Michelle, I'll try to post one as soon as possible. JanetCD, I always wanted to try high heels but since I have enormous feet I never could even try one, so as I found this store, I had to get as high as possible!! Have to say, it's amazing. Think that right now, the 2 sexiest pieces of women clothing, for me are BRAS and high heels. Too damn sexy. My GF and I were checking my "catwalking" skills the other day. Very much fun XD

Joann60, thats one advice I've been telling me (Remember to fill your closet s-l-o-w-l-y.) . Since I started shopping for clothing I've added lots of bras, blouses and dresses. It's growing fast and somehow I feel like Im not even close to get all things I'd like. Thats hard!

Congrats girl! I'm a high heel junkie at heart. I'd buy every pair if I could. Keep strutting your stuff and soon you'll be walking the sexy walk better than most women, lol. It's funny, I see ladies walking around in heels all the time and just want to stop them and show them how to do right.

Fill a closet slowly. I wish I had read that advice a year ago. After a massive splurge I have had to stop due to lack of space. Open a cupboard door and a set of boots or a dress will fall out. And Scarlett - how I agree. I just can't stop buying boots and shoes. Any excuse for another, slightly differently designed pair of boots and I'm there, cash in hand. The sad thing is - it all soaks up money.

I now discipline myself to stay off the buying and concentrate on enjoying the things I have bought. And it's fun. But I think a big problem is the rush buying something gives me. I need to clamp down on that! Do any of you get a kind of endorphin rush when spotting something lady-like you think will look great on you? A Pink Fog? And only buying settles it?

Maybe surface tension?   I was in a political debate yesterday and it got way too focused on social stuff and I just had to steer the conversation back to how natural gas transitions to a liquid under pressure.  One of the people I was debating had a career working in that field and it was a good opportunity to expose stuff like that.  He mentioned that it isn't just pressure, it is temperature too.  So then I mentioned how the lines are running underground and asked how that played a role in it.  He came back saying that natural gas is a liquid under pressure.  I guess I didn't get a straight answer on that, but it did move my thinking one step down the road.  Perhaps I should have been more direct with him and asked him at what temperature and pressure.  Is there a chart?   I feel people would be better off if they paid more attention to the objects in their environment instead of focusing on some of the things that we hear so much of in the news.  People are pretty clueless as to how much trigonometry plays a role in so many things in our society.  Even land surveyors don't really use it anymore because programmers locked it away in a function.  Much like how cascading style sheets (CSS) is a wrapper for math.  I wonder what former president Trump thinks about all of that?  He must have some knowledge of how his buildings are constructed, right?  There certainly is a part of me that thinks he is just putting on a show about all of this.  Perhaps I'm wrong though.  All kinds of people in the world.

Hello Jennifer and welcome back.  I find New England to be a great place to live.  I have a number of acquaintances and friends in Maine and I love the state.  It seems you are doing well.     Hugs,  Jani

Oh, my "maybe this person is an egg" story is the (male presenting) piercing person and I discussed body hair removal methods, he says he doesn't want any hair except on his head, which is what I said during a couple hair removal sessions before and just after the egg cracked.

I, too, am lucky.  Here in the UK I have a great therapist, a fully supportive GP, and a psychiatrist and endo who look after me and my needs.  I found the therapist on Psychology Today.

Over the last few years of being on this site and going through medical transition, I've come to own the M->F identification.  Funny, I made a typo of M->T.  It is a curiosity if I'll ever put Gender: Female on this site.  It is my intention to be there someday.   Right now, because of career stuff and a high stress event with an electric hair clipper last fall, I'm feeling much more masculine than I would like.  I think that once I make some decent headway with my third career, I'll settle into a more feminine feeling.   I never really considered gender very much.  I certainly always used a feminine appearance as my presentation goal. I think that when I was young, I briefly had the idea of transitioning, but I convinced myself quickly that medical transition would be a bad outcome, so I put all those feelings and ideas in the closet for decades.  I'm still very apprehensive about medical transition.  I've always taken health to be a high priority for me.  I wrote a book last December about my fears of it all and my conclusion ultimately is that sometimes there is more to life than being a pillar of health.  It's important to take some chances if that is where your heart takes you.

Good morning and congratulations @MirandaBon getting your ears pierced. This opens up a new line of jewelry to buy and collect.    @KymmieLits ashamed that any employee would ever to post a sign like this.    Well Parker Von Schwinegruber not only got me up early, we enjoyed our first cup of coffee on the patio before the sun was up. Oh it was daylight but just barely. The second cup of coffee was in the recliner, and now I’m pinned here and need someone to pour my third cup.    It’s a dog’s life… Eat, play, go potty and sleep. Trump-linked dark-money group spent $90m on racist and transphobic ads in 2022, records show. Citizens for Sanity was one of top political spenders last election cycle and is back for 2024 with more extreme messaging, https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/article/2024/may/17/trump-citizens-sanity-election-ads

I adore the Bee Gees. There's no way that I could link all their great songs in the above post. To me though, this song of theirs is head and shoulders above everything else:
