The Toilet Paper Follies

My spouse and I play this game about changing the roll of toilet paper. It usually comes down to leaving a square or two on the roll, which forces the next person to put a new roll out. We have one of those lovely containers in the bathroom for a few extra rolls and when someone takes the last one out, they are supposed to refill it. Sometimes, it does not get refilled and sometimes there is only a square left on the roll and hopefully if this is the case, either of us are not alone in the house.

For those of you who are considering surgery, you will come to understand the importance of toilet paper and where being stranded with none can be amusingly distressing at home and quite another story out and about (always check the stall before sitting!)

Oh, and cheap toilet paper is cheap toilet paper. Just saying!

Happy Independence Day for those who celebrate!

Spoken like a TRUE post-op -- of course, thats what you are!!

You know you are Post Op and have truly gotten away from the male world, when the need for toilet tissue replaces the need for duct tape in your life.

I resemble that remark!!

Hun that is too funny. We have a similar situation at our home and I have had the frustration of doing no. 2 and needing the paper and having to get it myself. I totally agree with checking the stall before sitting. I can only imagine being post op and needing it.

Still an amusing story love.

I have been informed by an informed post op: To triple my TP budget...who am I to argue with that sage advise? I though it was known rule that the number of women in a house has an exponential effect on TP consumption, and it better be the good stuff at least while healing.

I love this topic but the best comment so far is about the duct tape. What horrible images of hair removal through tape use. I'll stop smiling tomorrow(maybe).

Chatlie

Is this strictly Post-op terratory? Giggle. I have been seated and using tissue for years. If you are a girl, you act like a girl? I'm a girl. One day all my parts will match. I wish I could just rub it away with tissue, not so. At least I can continue to feel a lot cleaner in the mean time. Like LizMarie, my roll stash is under the vanity. The best invention are pantyliners. Girls invent the coolest handy stuff. Beats the heck out of some guy I used to know... Hug. JodyAnn

JodyAnn - I haven't stood at home in a decade.

Melissa~ one word - COSTCO - I buy the thousand roll packs ;-)

NatashaJade - I have similar spousal issues but we have a nice wicker box on the toilet tank that holds 3 rolls. So I triple my chances that I will notice that they need to be refilled before they are all gone.

I am surprised that the over/under debate never entered this discussion. My wife used to get upset if I put it on the holder in the wrong direction. Now she often just lays the new one on top of the empty roll. I guess that is what 28 years together will do for you. ;-)

I guess every female has been there and I include myself of course. You're sat there having just finished and reach for the toilet paper only to see that's empty :( I guess that's the only thing about my old life that offered a definite advantage - just go and shake! Still as annoying as it is it still feels good to be fully reminded of one of very few "disadvantages" of being a girl :)

If I may comment as a non op TG - as a male I always use the 'stalls' or the cubicles because there is no way I will 'shake' it off. Toilet paper always! I like to be dry. Good luck girls!

Every girl should have a pack of tissues in her bag. They have a multitude of uses!

I always check when out but sometimes get caught out at home lol
