Sunken eyes at 19?

I noticed that my eyes are a bit sunken , actually noticed it when I was 17. I can't be getting this because of age can I? I hope not but it doesn't go away as I thought it might and it's not very appealing. Of course I can hide it with makeup on my photos but I can't do that in real life.

I read on the internet that you can get it from stress and sleep deprivation and being too skinny.

I'm not too skinny, everyone says I am but I am not, my tummy bulges out for goodness sake. I think I get 8 hours of sleep most of the time and I don't think I stress more than the average person my age. So what can it be? Am I getting old fast or something? And can I do something to make it better or take it away?

My eyes are deepset as well dear. It is just the way we were made and many consider it attractive. I agree with Jenn, be easy on yourself.

Hugs,

Charlie

At 19 you are still developing your final adult body, and genetic males need until about 25 to finish the job there. Females stop when they become pregnant the first time, or about 25 also if the other does not take place. I actually have very deep set eyes as the result of some ethnic genes still hanging around for 4 generations. As a child, my eyes were not, if you look at them, that deep set. You are still a growing youngster with time on the young part of that to go. It is possible that in time, which you still have, the eye sockets behind your brow ridge may do some growing too.

If you are gettng worried though, I would suggest going and discussing it with an M.D. who is an adolescent medicine specialist

It probably isn't that bad. I tend to see a lot of flaws in my face and not see the good things. I'm trying to change that, but it's not easy

I have a dear young cis female friend. We were discussing life and i started complaining about my looks. She said "stop don't fall onto that trap, all girls go through the doubt and it does no good" As a male my looks were not so important. I can get hung up there now. Looking pretty is one thing but once i learn how to augment my good traits and back off of the flaws i've got to accept what i've got. Maybe if you think it is caused by illness you should ask your MD.

Hugs,

Charlie

you are beautiful. i am so jealous of your pic coz my parents won't let me transition until i'm 18. i wish i could be as beautiful as you. my eyes squint when i smile which is actually quite common and also everyone says i'm too skinny inclusing my doctor because i only weigh 51.5kg and I'm 1.77m tall. i think I'm fine. i weigh less than most other people in my year (both genders) even though I'm taller than almost all of them! be proud of yourself. you are very beautiful and i wish i was 19 so i can get out of this hole i'm in at the moment :)
