My chest

Guest leo

Recommended Posts

Iv been working out my chest ready for surgery in just under 3 weeks but with time I'm finding it increasingly harder to bind as my pecs get bigger! I'm becoming very dysphoric about if and with the weather being 30 odd degrees here its difficult to have loads of layers on! Any suggestion with what I can do to help

While this is not my area of expertise, i remember others saying that loose baggy shirts are cool and also make things less visible. You operation is soon so hopefully that thought will help as well. Glad you have cooler weather we are approaching 40 this whole week.

Hugs but only in air conditioning,

Charlie

I've had the same issues with the pecs and addressed it in a thread on binding yesterday. Instead of focusing on how big your chest is take a while and look at every man you see. Most have far more chest than we feel comfortable with. Do you look at any of them and think he is not a guy? Have you ever? It is only ourselves who use a chest as a measure of our gender. Women have flat chests sometimes and I've seen quite a few men who could benefit from a sports bra.

Helped me too to find out that some men actually inject silicone into their chest to look more fit and developed. A really bad idea by the way. But it does tell me that I am being unrealistic.

Also what does not flatten is muscle. If you compress enough to flatten muscle you will do real damage to your body. permanent damage often too. Pecs are muscle-nreast tissue is not/

Here is a pic I put on a different thread this AM. Un-retouched and wearing just a compression shirt. They work better than binders and are made to help regulate athletes temps in the heat. I would literally die if I layered in this Arkansas heat and worked out or hiked. You can see there is still a visible chest but less than most natal men my age. Still drives me mad and some days I still have to fight myself over it. But I won't give in to the dysphoria and lessen the quality of my life or endanger my health. Just refuse to do that. .

Yeah I see what you mean jj, looking good in your pic, the thing is I was big chested to start with like an E cup so it's difficult to bind as I'm a really skinny person with like a 30 inch waist so they stick out like a mile but like you said surgery soon! Been waiting 5 long years but things are coming together and should be having bottom surgery next year so looking forward to that to :)

It's only a few more weeks - and you'll never have that dysphoria to worry about again. And 30 degrees... it took me a second to realize what you meant lol. JJ, no idea how you're dysphoric with that body...

youre having surgery soon, so stop worrying, the problems you are experiencing now wont exist after the op. Good luck with that...........

Hello we are The lake. So called because This One has not determined a name for oneself but has in a way created an environment to try out multiple names as different people. Currently Some of us use she/her pronouns and one uses he/him. We hope to learn more about being transgender and the intricacies involved. Once again it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance and we hope to be of further help in the future.

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/18-states-sue-biden-administration-transgender-worker-protections-rcna152239     When the R's are in power they love having the EEOC promulgate rules favoring employers.  But when the D's are in power, they just hate it when the EEOC makes or enforces rules that favor employee rights; most especially trans employee rights.  Then it becomes "government overreach."  Funny how that works out.    Carolyn Marie

Wholeheartedly agree.  Whether a compliment is backhand or forehand, I take it gladly.  They are offered rarely enough these days.    Carolyn Marie

Wow, a shop that actually respects a customer's truck?  That seems like a miracle!  My husband does most of his own work, because he really, REALLY hates people who mess with an interior, with grease spots or footprints.  His personal truck is old, but super clean.  And since he's the transportation manager for his company, he's pretty picky about people respecting company equipment.  "Take care of it, and it will take care of you" is the motto.  Drivers should be able to go through a DOT Level 1 inspection without worry.

Literally the word means "hatred of women" and so I don't think that's quite the right description for what you encountered.  Possibly chauvinism?  Or maybe just not wanting to bother somebody he figured wasn't interested or capable of doing the job?  Who knows.   But on the other hand...be glad you're passing

Finally found a site that gives the definition of defemination as a process of loss of feminine characteristics or continued loss of them.  Not a word I would use every day, although I can see where it would be a problem for some who value those feminine characteristics.  Yes I have seen it happen and now get the idea, and yes, not in so many words, but yes I have been up against others who do put down my femininity as being a pseudo female at the most polite and I cannot use the words hear for what it is at the worst.   Online, there is little to do about it except leave and block the people who do it and the places it happens, since it affects you much more heavily and negatively than it does the person doing it, and you need freedom from the stress.  The rules here which our "powers that be", namely the staff say we do not put up with members denying the authentic identity of other members.
