I agree with most every thing said, I wear ladies clothes, BECAUSE it is made for a lady. what good does it do to try and let my feminine side out for a walk if all I do is cover her as a man? Now I will say that I am still masculine in many ways, so I still buy men's clothing, but what I get is for utility and durability, not fashion, so no, I would not wear men's hose or skirts.

This was an interesting question. The answer for me was an easy "Yes," but then I thought, what if all women's clothing, leaving out perhaps makeup, were made in male versions, and even further, let's just say that they didn't necessarily even need to be (to use Brenda's words) "coarse" and "brutish," as we all know they totally would be.

I think it would still be Yes, because I'd still be expected to act male even in the better-feeling, nicer-fitting clothes. In this world, even buying and wearing these great new acceptable-for-men clothes in the Men's department would be exhibiting male behavior in a sense. A big part, maybe the biggest part, of crossdressing for me is the freedom to express my femininity to its fullest extent, which I think is what April and Carolyn were saying as well.

But that's just me. :)

I would still Need the Ladies clothing.

Growing up I went throught the Goth Scene, even hit it again in recent years, as it was a Legitimate reason to wear a Kilt or skirt and a bit of Makeup.

But it just didn`t fill that hole. I think it Comes down to the simple fact that it was still Mens Clothing and I want to be female.

I am lucky I guess that I have a wife who is just about my size, so I can "Nick" the odd Thing of her. "Oh dear, Love the Dogs had that blouse and I had to throw it out" Kind of Thing.

Maybe one day I will tell her. But that is a different thread and a Age away.
