I knew about the Prop 8 crowd and the rationale about the time this started. Its about time this came out to the general public.

What needs more publicity is that they did not lose on the SCOTUS decision, they had lost long before, and more importantly on the facts presented to the trial court. A point that is disappearing into the wood work. They had not been able to present believeable facts to sustain their position that gay marriage was harmful to society and therefor necessary to be outlawed. Their worst problem was that not only could they NOT produce facts that gay marriage was harmful, but they could not and did not present evidence that heterosexual marriage was all that great a deal. The relied on "experts" who presented documentary evidence, but who would not appear in court to be cross examined on their findings because "they feared for their physical safety". Thus their own side was too pusilanimous to stand up in public. Makes you wonder about the facts themselves.

With any luck people will see they cannot deliver, and will begin to ignor them. It might be fun to tell the signature solicitors that I am trans, sure I will sign it!! With my prior legal name who can no longer vote. (I won't though since it is technically perjury. Just a ridiculous evil idea.)

They will use hate, fear, money, and will stop at nothing to force a compliance with sex, for these allowances for differences threatnens the very core of their patriarchal belief systems when I read that statement "they want to strip society of gender norms". The tide is finally turning, birth sex means less and less in the society of the 21st century, and certainly with somone's gender expression, we know that, many government policies already reflect that. CA is a benchmark state for the rest of country in many ways, we watch from up north....
