Isn't the Isle of Man a great place to live?

This is part of a series of existing anti gay/transgender leglisation that is now being overturned. He is not the first MP on the island to make such comments, nor will he be the last i am sure. However, i am pleased with the postive response online, unfortunatley, the response in the papers has not been so great.

I am in the process of putting together a petition and letter to the governmnet calling for the resignation of this crazy ******. Its when you get a group of people with exactly these insane 'values' that you end up with governments such like in Isreal, Saudi Arabia etc.

Not sure what's up with the governments in Saudi Arabia, but the MP is a tad out of his league, he should really research on those issues before even giving a comment. He should know better that touching such issues would generate an uproar.

It's interesting that almost all of the comments at the website asked him to resign

This is bigotry at it's extreme. I've seen examples of this in my home state of Maine so I know what these people are going through.

It's appalling. This is the 21st century, for goodness' sake. Can we make NO inroads into rampant bigotry? The inhumanity of some people disgusts, angers and saddens me. Where are their hearts? What prompts such intolerance? And not just their slurs and hatred against us gender-different people but against all people who suffer from their ignorance and stupid bigotry.

Whoa, Iri, take a deep breath and calm down.

Sorry, I was heading into a rant and preaching to the choir. :)

Well, it appears we are making some progress at least.

If you look at the views of my college classmates, im hoping that by the time we're running the country this bigotry wont be so rampant :)
