UPDATE,

It looks like my Surgery is going to happen Nov. 27th.

Timing for recovery just wasn't going to work for January. So we should be leaving America Nov. 20th to spend a few extra days in Thailand... getting Visa's for China was just to much Hassle for where we wanted to go in China. (Great Wall, Terra-Cotta Army, Jade Palace ) so we will Fly into Tokyo then continue on to Thailand a few days before to enjoy the Sites, Temples and possible Safari type trip, then Surgery. Recover then Fly home Dec 10th...

So going to be Busy Busy, Busy Busy Girl till then.

Congratulations Billie.

You are having your surgery on my birthday. :)

I think that you will be in good hands. Dr. Saran was not my surgeon of choice, but I did meet a couple of girls whom he did their surgery. They had nothing but good things to say about bis work.

You will love the nurses on the 10th floor. They are outstanding and extremely professional about there work, there is even a couple of Transgender nurses on the floor.

Just prior to me being put to sleep for my surgeries, I discovered that 6 of the 8 nurses in the operating room where also trans.

Wishing you a safe and speedy recovery.

Congratulations! I'm sure the excitement level just jumped up a few notches. You will do fine. It sounds like you did your research and have a good plan. The waiting time will be shorter and for me that would be a good thing. Less time to worry about what's ahead. You'll wake up on Thanksgiving with a big change to be thankful for.

Hugs,

Charlie

Glenda (My Wife) and I have decided (More like me but hey) to start a Facebook Group Documenting our trip and all the activities along with our Travel Companion Stumpy (More on Him later, But he has been on Many Vacations with us so we felt is was only appropriate to bring him along.. Hope the TSA and Customs don't freak as he doesn't have a passport.)

Once we leave we will be trying to update it daily.. Internet access permitting... This is a Public/Open Group, Just so you know.

I have many friends there that have been my support for a very long time so instead of trying to post everything all over the place on so many BB's we consolidated it to just one place that everyone can view and or Comment.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/BGtrip/

So with out Further ado I would like to introduce Stumpy.. (well actually it will be his Brother sporting an updated wardrobe (New Paint) as Stumpy One happen to fall to a terrible accident involving the Royal Gorge Bridge and the unfortunate timing of a Train. RIP)

Billie;

The hospital where you will be staying for your recovery has free WIFI. All you need to do is talk to the nurses and they can give you your new ID and Password for the WIFI, you will have to get a new one each day.

Just a note for everyone. Her spouse says Billie has come out of surgery today and is doing fine at this point. She's in pain, of course, but we may hear from her in a few days.

Good deal, the residual anesthetic and pain meds do make it hard for you to think about something like posting on a web site, we can forgive her.

Sorry for the delay, 2 days after we got to Thailand my laptop decided to die so I lost all my bookmarks along with my Login info and I am HORRIBLE at rememebering passwords so I had no web access except for my Android when it would connect to a wifi as I you can not replace the sim card in the Galaxy S3s for international use.

We are Back in the states and finally recovering from the Jet Lag. Surgery went off with at Hitch and healing up nicely. Once I get caught up with getting back to real life, I will be putting together a little PDF of pricing and the do and don'ts while in Thailand along with Photos of Thailand.

Very nice. I have always considered a Thailand surgical trip to be exotic. Glad that so far things are working for you.

I've been following from the sideline on Facebook and am happy that your trip to Thailand was great.

I am glad to hear it went so well. I do remember the ouchies very well at your stage of events. It does heal up and start feeling like you own it again, but you can sure wonder for a while.

wearing my bathing suit at a rocky beach. At the same lake as the one I fell into from the kayak a few weeks ago. Watson (my chihuahua) and I took a nice swim and sunbathed for a little while.

I searched for a bag that felt right and worked for me.  Eventually i found an old leather Coach bag.  I've carried it for over 10 years now.  Occasionally i use Lexol  to revitalize the leather as i did on the tac for horses years ago.  The leather has become soft and the clever fittings on the bag have preventing too much wear.  It's pretty big so perhaps i carry too much.   Hugs,   Charlize

Thank you, friend. It means much.

Home crumbed chicken schnitzel, with scalloped potatoes, peas & corn.   We try to plan our dinner meals ahead for the week, so getting in early - tomorrow night will be lamb chump chops baked in the oven with a honey/soy marinade. In the same dish will be potato and pumpkin segments. The other veges will be string beans and cauliflower.

Yep.   I sometimes get busy on another forum which has a wide array of general interest subforums. Everything from politics to tech to money to sport. There have been plenty of times where I have quoted people and given examples which demonstrate why their posts were either bollocks or at least tangential to the thread title, only to have my reply hidden because it was deemed to be off-topic...yet their off-topic post that I quoted remained intact!    Freedom of speech per se should be upheld, BUT...is it just me, or does it sometimes seem like the biggest proponents of it prioritize their 'rights' over their responsibilities? Maybe it is just me, but does anyone else feel like there is a cohort of people out there (not here!) who defend their hate speech under the guise of free speech? Whether it be on an internet forum or in real life, there must be rules and regulations.   Our moderators here do a truly fantastic job, and this forum really is a rare treasure. What helps is that above everything that does get discussed including the differing opinions at times on non-core issues, we are all on the same side!

Good morning everyone,    It’s a dog life thing, with a puppy influence. We slept until 06:00 at which time Parker made his first soft bark from inside his crate. I got up and got ready to go outside so he could take care of business and potty. Then we played with his favorite toy 🧸 and tug of war and fetch. Coffee has finished brewing and my first cup is flavorful Folgers Black Silk.    I hope you have a wonderful day and can be who you were meant to be.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

In the U.S. Monday is Memorial Day. Do you celebrate and/or honor those who served?

Self-compassion is simply the process of turning compassion inward. We're kind and understanding rather than harshly self-critical when we fail, make mistakes, or feel inadequate. We give ourselves support and encouragement rather than being cold or judgmental when challenges and difficulties arise in our lives.
