A Little Embarrassed

Well to say I was a little embarrassed might be an understatement. For the first time since April I got to go out of town for a couple of days to help teach a class at a state academy. Of course I had to wear a suit as it was required. Underneath though I had on all my favorites. About three hours into the class it was getting warm in the room so I removed my jacket, and never gave anything a thought. On the next brake a female student who had been setting in the front row with three other women came up to me and politely informed me that the lace band on my bra would show slightly when I would start to turn around and put my back to the class. I asked her how noticeable it was and she reassured me that she could hardly see it. I put my jacket back on before the class started back up, and I kept it on until it was over. After class the young lady came up to me and told me that she hoped she hadn't embarrassed me. I thanked her for letting me know, and that she hadn't embarrassed me, but I had. She reassured me the other three ladies never mentioned anything, and thought if they had seen something they would probably would of said something during one of the breaks or over lunch. It was a small class and the only other students were to guys who were setting in the back row of the room. I asked her if she thought they could notice and she said told me there was no way they could to tell. I thanked her again for her confidentiality. My lesson I learned was don't wear a light colored shirt if you are wearing a bra or keep your jacket on, Amber L.

At least the students were mature and politely approached you about your bra showing. It seems younger generations are more tolerant, if nothing else, to someone who lives outside what society says it acceptable. I've seen a few examples lately posted by friends of mine on various social media.
