Hiya. i went to my endocrinologist a few days ago to pick up a larger quantity of hormones for an upcoming vacation, and I saw something very awesome on my receipt!

I had to pay because my insurance is transphobic, and on the formal receipt it labels my diagnosis:

302.85-Gender Dysphoria

:P that made me happy! I never have actually seen that yet! Of course, I have it, but i haven't yet seen it written down like that. it cheered me up

just thought i'd share :D

Congratulations!

And isn't it strange what makes us so happy - I remember when my first therapist told me that I was definitely transgender - no doubts about it!

A confirmation from a professional is a huge boost.

Love ya,

Sally

I remember the definition as well. It didn't mean i wasn't crazy but it did mean i wasn't nuts (or completely anyway).

Hugs,

Charlie

Giggle. Good for you. Save that documentation, you never may know when or how it can come in handy as a supporting item. Or on the other hand, years from now, it is a piece of history. "Remember back in the day, when XYZ Company used to discriminate and be mean to Trans Women..." Could it be a classic? Giggle. Hug. JodyAnn

Gives me an idea for a T shirt for Pride this weekend - I could just print 302.85 on the front. ;-)

I know what you mean, I got a carry letter from my therapist yesterday and just seeing the diagnosis in black and white is affirming.

Hugs,

Diane

That is a nice idea, almost like a secret code. Mnnnnmm there goes another 302.85. I'm not quite sure whether to put the 302 across the chest with the .85 below. Might extenuate the bust and minimize the tummy. Sorry just some odd images came to mind.

Hugs,

Charlie
