Hi Sal and welcome. You can feel comfortable here too. Though maybe make your next thread in the introductions forum, so many more can greet you. We want to know all about you, not just the body parts. We do have much to share too. Don't worry you will fit right in. Also if you haven't, check out the terms and conditions link. It's the little button on the bottom right hand corner of the page. No worries, as we ask this of everyone at the start, to keep us all on the same page. Oh, a bit about me?

I am intersexed too, though they decided to correct me way back when as I was born. They chose male for me. Way wrong answer! I am correcting me to female ever since. I came to terms with all this about five years ago and I changed my gender presentation about three years ago, I have no real idea what my original bottom configuration was, so that will always be a mystery for me. All I have left to do, is to learn to be a grown woman and live my life as I truly am. There are others here like us, with each our own journey and story. So you are not alone. Hug. JodyAnn

I am not inter-sexed myself, but I just wanted to say you are by no means a 'freak' really that word should be stricken from our vocabulary. We are all strange and weird in our own way, and honestly as soon as you label an individual as 'normal' that means everyone else around them is weird, so I prefer to just think of it as everyone is weird, we all have our own challenges. And I hope you feel comfortable here to be able to have a place to talk to others like you, trans, inter-sexed and androgynous.

Sal, please don't be afraid to talk to your medical provider. That's why they are there, to help you! You are not a freak. You have a condition and that condition should get properly diagnosed. Once it is diagnosed, you can decide what to do from there.

But you need to start by trusting your doctor and allowing them to examine you and make that diagnosis.

I don't know how things work in England, but once you are properly diagnosed I would expect them to work with you to resolve things however you choose to resolve them. For intersexed people usually there is solid medical support to help that person choose to live as they see themselves.

Sal, I am so sorry that you were bullied through childhood. No one should have to suffer through that. Do you have access to a Therapist? If so, they may be able to help you through some of the emotional pain.

I share what LizMarie said about talking to your medical provider. Let them know you are reluctant to talk about it, but they should be able to help, or at least refer you to someone who can help.

Huggs,

Opal

Hi Sal,

I 'm glad that you have been able to talk with your GP about your intersex condition. It doesn't have to be an embarrassment. I did not understand the reasons for the bullying when was in school or afterwards for that matter. And it still bothers me that other people aren't willing to believe that intersex is real.

I have found that often religious zealots are the hardest to convince that someone can be intersexed. They can accept and feel sympathy for any other birth condition, but intersex they just refuse acknowledge it. You can't try to convince them even with medical evidence, they are so blinded by their own ignorance, for lack of a better phrase. I've had futile communications that only served to irritate me and solved nothing to change their opinions.

I can totally relate to everything you are saying Sal. I hope you can move forward with your life in a manner more fitting to who you know you really are.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️
