So can't these doctors be reported to the local medical board for un-professional conduct?

I know that here you can even do this on line and there are sites that rate medical proffessionals

Wouldn't it be cool if there was something like a trans-doula? Someone who could support a trans person when he or she went to the doctor or hospital, help them find trans-friendly health care professionals, and deal with the not-so-great ones when necessary, and call the professional on it when they are disrespectful and unsupportive of the trans person, or who knew how to ask things like, "what is the reason for this line of questioning? is it relevant to the care you're giving me now, and if so, please explain how?"

I have heard the referenced scenario too many times recently.

I can relate well to this article.

1. When I first Came-Out and Transitioned Full-Time, I went to my medical center with my New Doctor's name listed on my insurance card and she refused to accept me as her patient. I had to choose another doctor. I chose the doctor involved because she was my mothers doctor.

2. On at least 4 occasions, while fully dressed in female attire, I have had Doctor's and Medical Assistants call me Mr. in the waiting room in front of all the other patients causing me to be embarrassed.
