Voice Feminization?

Hi Emdy,

Several years ago, I got Kathy's CD. It is a good CD, and I tried many, Melanie Speaks, TS Roadmap, etc., but none of them had good explanations of how to get started. The best starter tip I got was from a yahoo group called VoiceTS. The following explanation did more to help me find my voice than the $150 I spent on CD's... Only after finding the starting point, were the voice training things really helpful.

MTF Voice training is much easier than it seems. I'm presuming (really guessing) a FTM could reverse the procedure to deepen his voice.

1) Lightly place 2 fingers on your Adam's Apple area.

2) Speak a test sentence in your normal male voice, taking note of the position of the vibration in your throat. The goal will be to move the vibration up.

3) Using the muscles in your throat, pull your larynx back, and up. Repeat your test sentence.

4) If you are doing this correctly, you will feel the vibration rise in your throat, and notice an immediate change in pitch. This is the starting position for voice practice.

5) Practice for a few words, numbers and/or sentences at a time, do not try to go more than a few minutes a day for the first week. Stay hydrated, keep your throat moist. Work up from there.

6) Once you find the new voice box position, you can start working on pronounciation, and intonation.

After about a steady year of practice, your voice box will be comfortable in the new position. It is not that hard to develop a new voice :)

It really is easier than it seems, you will find the proper pitch/resonance for your body, very quickly. Good luck.

Hugz,

Gina

It looks good but I kind of agree with Brenda. I work in online marketing and there a few cis women marketing online which I've come across like, they're obviously aware that transgendered folk are willing to pay big bucks in order to 'pass'. There's no subsitute or short cut for the time and effort you'll probably have to put into voice training and the only thing these people are trying to sell is knowledge, which you can get other places.

Up to you but personally speaking if I was going to spend any money on voice I'd put that money back into the transgender community.

I've been working really hard on my female voice for weeks now and I know it takes time and effort to get results. I haven't spent any money so far, just used the free resources at genderlife which you may already know about plus things on You Tube etc.

This one's also free and good and by a transgender woman, melspeak, you can find it on story mind media

Hope that helps you and best with the voice

Has anyone here used this product?: http://www.voicefeminization.com/

What can you say? Is it worth the investment? Is it real, or is it another exploit of this community? All input is welcome! Thank you!

I think it's a scam as well. Did you try going further down in the forum and seeing the voice part?

Also I kinda do "teach" "help" whatever you wanna call it here

Thank you all so much! I would like to add that I found a duplicate of the page somewhere else offering the product at a higher price, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were a scam. It looks like one of those infomercial websites, too, and those are usually scams. It would be better to invest into paying a voice coach than to rely on do-it-yourself resources which can be found anywhere for free, as was also stated. Thank you all for your input and any further advice and links for others who have this same question would be wonderful!

Kathe Perez is not a scam. She is a well known speech therapist in the trans community. Finding another ad at another price may have more to do with when the ad was placed or who is actually selling (or reselling) her CDs. I simply know that there are lots of trans women who have retrained their voices with the assistance of Kathe Perez.

Liz is correct. Kathe is a legitimate voice coach in the Denver area and attends many of the trans events.

She offers these CDs and a beginners and advance on line class over Skype.

She also offers private lessons either at her office or over Skype.

The ad on your link is from another site that is or was selling her CDs.

wearing my bathing suit at a rocky beach. At the same lake as the one I fell into from the kayak a few weeks ago. Watson (my chihuahua) and I took a nice swim and sunbathed for a little while.

I searched for a bag that felt right and worked for me.  Eventually i found an old leather Coach bag.  I've carried it for over 10 years now.  Occasionally i use Lexol  to revitalize the leather as i did on the tac for horses years ago.  The leather has become soft and the clever fittings on the bag have preventing too much wear.  It's pretty big so perhaps i carry too much.   Hugs,   Charlize

Home crumbed chicken schnitzel, with scalloped potatoes, peas & corn.   We try to plan our dinner meals ahead for the week, so getting in early - tomorrow night will be lamb chump chops baked in the oven with a honey/soy marinade. In the same dish will be potato and pumpkin segments. The other veges will be string beans and cauliflower.

Yep.   I sometimes get busy on another forum which has a wide array of general interest subforums. Everything from politics to tech to money to sport. There have been plenty of times where I have quoted people and given examples which demonstrate why their posts were either bollocks or at least tangential to the thread title, only to have my reply hidden because it was deemed to be off-topic...yet their off-topic post that I quoted remained intact!    Freedom of speech per se should be upheld, BUT...is it just me, or does it sometimes seem like the biggest proponents of it prioritize their 'rights' over their responsibilities? Maybe it is just me, but does anyone else feel like there is a cohort of people out there (not here!) who defend their hate speech under the guise of free speech? Whether it be on an internet forum or in real life, there must be rules and regulations.   Our moderators here do a truly fantastic job, and this forum really is a rare treasure. What helps is that above everything that does get discussed including the differing opinions at times on non-core issues, we are all on the same side!

Good morning everyone,    It’s a dog life thing, with a puppy influence. We slept until 06:00 at which time Parker made his first soft bark from inside his crate. I got up and got ready to go outside so he could take care of business and potty. Then we played with his favorite toy 🧸 and tug of war and fetch. Coffee has finished brewing and my first cup is flavorful Folgers Black Silk.    I hope you have a wonderful day and can be who you were meant to be.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Self-compassion is simply the process of turning compassion inward. We're kind and understanding rather than harshly self-critical when we fail, make mistakes, or feel inadequate. We give ourselves support and encouragement rather than being cold or judgmental when challenges and difficulties arise in our lives.
