Good advice Mary Ellen-unfortunatly many will not take it and may end up in places they would not like to be, a morgue perhaps. Today there are many ways to see Doctors that cost very little or nothing at all. If a person who has come to the realization that they are trans then please, please,please tell your Dr. With the AMA now on our side there is NO excuse not to see one.

I would be very pleased to know how you can see a doctor for very little or nothing at all.

(And "very little" would probably be too much for me.)

Not sure but probably through a community health clinic.

community health clinics,school nuses, college health units,even some hospitals offer free clinics, some churches,blood pressure or diabetic health fairs. I am sure that there are more. It just takes your own nerve to take the chance-you'd be surprised at the outcome. Being honest with yourself is the most important or you may end up like so many of us and hiding for decades with torment and denial. Trust yourself and others. Jolene
