Shared More About Me At Church Coffee Hour

I was sharing my transformation with three ladies at church who I know rather well. One of them has a friend who is trans. I was able to share more of my experience with them. When asked if I was happier, I replied in the affirmative.

That's very cool that you felt comfortable sharing your story. It is also unusual to run into someone who knows yet another transperson. I suppose that, even at only 1-2 percent of the population (supposedly), there are times when it seems like we are a larger community. You're a great ambassador for us, Gennee.

I have recently heard from a person at my church that since I came out to them two years ago I have become much more of a real person than I had been in the twenty years before. Boy did I have a giggle fit when they told me that!!

Congratulations Gennee, church is one place to be that way. A scripture says "I knew you from your mother's womb!!" Its about time the humans get to know us if God has been in the know this long.

I'm so glad you are able to share yourself with others. We are not nearly so scary when folks get to know us. I'm sure like me you have never bitten anyone but if we just disappear and go stealth noone will know that. Thanks for sharing yourself with those you know at church. I like to disappear at times and share at others.
