I just finished a daily chore that began a year ago. I have kept a log of my HRT and some of my changes starting the day I began the HRT, and January 21, 2013 I added a new stat just to keep track of my progress. The stat was my times of dilating that officially began the evening after my vaginal packing and a catheter had been removed. The number that titles this post is the number of times I have since dilated. 3 times a day for 90 days, 2 times a day for another 90 days and since July 21, 2013, once a day. Each time has taken from 1+ hours at the beginning to about 50 minutes including my bed time shower. The times are what my surgeon wants done and may vary by Dr.

If I had to pick one item of GD that stays with me, it is the fact I will need to do this until heaven alone knows. I asked for it and I am a "big girl" and may not like it, but will go on with it. Transition never really ends. I am glad to have made it this far. Next year at this time it will only be 365 times, unless I find a human partner, and then I get time off for bad behavior.

Remember he has to have adjustable sizes, tiny to large. Giggle. I will say no more.

Well I will. I want the donut but without the hole! Finger deep only for me, I want to live in the digital age, not the industrial age. No tools please. LOL!

Now if they invent the procedure that allows the Peeny to become the Clitty and a G-spot I will have no trouble putting my finger on a solution regularly. Hey, girls do what girls do. Giggle.

On this day a year ago I was in Monterey Bay CA at the end of my first day on the road going home. I had dilated in my hotel room in San Mateo 6 hours before, and I was hungry as all get out, but needed to get session 2 for the day in. It was NOT comfortable, and frankly HURT trying to ride it over the stitches and skin parts telling me lies as to where it was hurting. I did manage the job on two Advil, but had a dangerous urge for a shot of booze that only lasted until my good sense kicked in.

I had to take my special little pillow in with me to dinner, which was the nice part of the day, since it was a German restaurant with hot Red Cabbage with Apple Vinegar and juice in it and a hot potato salad that was just right with the saurbratten.

I had gone through 4 pair of underwear which was hanging on the shower rod of the motel bathroom and 8 pantie liners, and was wearing a double heavy days pad for bed time. Not to mention having top and bottom bed sheet protector pads.

That's a more accurate description of the days immediately post op!! The humor comes later!! MUCH later!!

I was serious when I said though that for me dilation is still a lingering GD issue that hits me everyday, and I don't see that going away. Sorry for the downer there.

Thank you for sharing Vicki. I am so glad you have stayed with us and discussed your journey so openly and honestly. The information is so valuable in decision making and you do certainly have a way of adding a good laugh now and again. Hopefully that sense of humor can gain you a chance of free help with dilation.
