I think the military should lift the ban on transgender people. After all, what does a persons gender identity have to do with their ability to perform the tasks they are trained for?

I do have to add a caution to those who are inclined to sign the partition. To sign the partition, you have to give your personal information. That doesn't mean that the information given has to be truthful except for your email address. I would not give out your real name or actual address. Change.org does appear to be a reputable organization so I personally have no qualms about signing their partitions. In fact, I have a couple of times for other issues. Also, you should be aware that they'll flood your email with partitions for other issues. If you have an email address specifically for junk email, use that.
