Chase, the author and subject of this video, is an FTM trans person transitioning in mid-life. The video shows the profound changes he is experiencing after one year on T. I'm finding the same thing in reverse. As an older transitioner, I need to be patient and give things time to work, but work they will.

Liz Marie, Thank you for posting this. It should be quite helpful to the guys [ ftm]. This way they will have somewhat of an expected time frame in which to judge their own transistion. The key is that not everyone changes at exactly the same rate. There are oftentimes gene variances and other rumblings within ones body.

As Chase says, patiance is the key. Take your shots, have all blood work done and pay attention to what your body is telling you. FTMs who still have their female equipment have to be very careful of testosterone levels. Too much T and it turns into E. You don't want that. S ome dudes will bald out much quicker than others. And, it takes work to aquire all of those beautiful muscles.

Try to set some financial goals. a fund for mastecotomy should be #1. When you dump the hooters it one heck of a relief. Then you can start another fund for bottom surgery, if you want it.

Approach transisition as the most important thing in your life and it surely is that. Sketch out your goals in the proper order. This nis called a game plan. Granted it may not always go the way you want but at leasy you will have some sort of direction in your life. And, never give up. You can make it.

Patience is a weird thing, it's hard if you've never had to wait much for things to suddenly wait, but it also gets harder if you wait too long, like I have. But patience is something I'm going to have learn again because I'm going to be starting on a very low dose (when I finally start), like so low I'm sure I won't have ANY changes at all for like the first 3 months, this is after waiting YEARS for T. But yea patience is needed.....

Liz Marie, Yes, thank you for posting this video! I had not yet seen this one. Chase does a great job in his video.

I do understand his feelings of mourning. I encounter a bit of this myself.

Like Chase, I have found that as I allow myself to feel my feelings around gender and the more I freely express myself (as a male), the more dysphoria I feel about any aspect which appears to not be yet in alignment with totally male attributes. The sense of urgency around change/transition becomes more intense (due to the increased level of my own contentment when I feel more free to be myself). I choose to moderate the intensity and, as Mike and Flint point out, remain patient, keeping my eye upon the step-by-step plan.
