That is a great step forward in the justice department. I have often wondered how we are not included in laws against discrimination due to gender identity. It is always applied to the male-female dichotomy but we are certainly involved in "identity". perhaps that interpretation of gender identity will include us in future legal arguments for the equal right we should have.

I am amazed with the increased consciousness concerning Trans* issues today, as opposed to just 5 years ago.

Although it seems to not be moving fast enough for us, often -- it's truly moving along quite rapidly, all things considered.
