Starting to confuse myself

So I pretty much decided I'm a transgender person. I've had an amazing time experimenting with my appearance, and I look forward to the times that I can do it, even days in advance. But occasionally I want to be girly again (in my mind, that means wearing t-shirts and jeans that are made for girls), so now I'm confused. I do wonder if it's just my practicality talking (I already get excluded, and I doubt being a transgender will help that.) It's much more often that I want to be like a full-out boy than be girly, but I do have occasions where I wish I could have both (like a double life)

Really this is just ranting, but has anyone had experience with something like this? What was the outcome? Is there a term for this that I could research?

Sorry if this makes no sense; I'm on my sleepy meds.

Elliot while this may seem different i also have times when, even though i've transitioned, i so enjoying doing things that men do and i did for years. It just feels right. Just because you may transition at some point does not immediately mean you have to be a totally butch guy just as i don't always need to be fem. There is always a mix and hopefully we can find comfort and peace with our paths.

Have a sweet dream.

Hugs,

Charlize

Elliot i must also wonder why you use the name Goats and Elliot. I farm and at this point have 10 does and 11 kids enjoying a beautiful spring. The kids are especially beautiful to watch.

The goats part comes from the fact that we also have goats, but they're really just pets now (the mom is old and all her kids were boys who we kept). I love them all so much, and I'm bad at making up usernames. The Elliot comes from wanting to be addressed as such. And thanks for the reassurance that this isn't too weird

Hi Elliot

You are not the only one who has changes in mind by far!

Even today when I was dressing in my girly clothes like I usually do on Saturdays to visit friends. I suddenly felt - "why am I doing this - I am male". I then carried on - thinking this is me! After that I applied makeup. If there is on thing I love it is makeup! Applying it relaxes me like nothing else. Last weekend I felt very down and it was only on the Tuesday morning (after the Easter break) when getting ready for work that I used makeup for the first time in a couple of days that I felt really good!

Perhaps a confusing paragraph but in essence it translates to - Being feminine to me oftens is more the behaving rather than appearing as a woman! I often get very confused but luckily it is one thing I am relaxed with. I try to take it as it comes - sometimes female, ideally somewhere in between but at present usually male.

I look forward to presenting myself in new ways / outfits! It takes some thought to get things right (in my mind) as beside liking to look nice I have a inbuilt desire to innovate which can result in attacting too much attention. (Really the easiest way for a male to appear female is not to stand out - blend in - but that contradicts my inventive plus rebelious nature). Oh well C'est la vie!

Personally, I think the moderators here strike the perfect balance, and I'd like to thank you all for your efforts.

Don't forget TJ Maxx for purses.  I have purchased several from there.  They offer a great variety with good prices.  You can even find high-end bags at affordable prices.   @Ladypcnj purses are one of my weaknesses as well.

When I get stuck in androgynous mode for an extended period I have to admit that I salve the dysphoria at times through retail therapy.    And, I've been busy. I search for bargains a lot of eBay, put items on my watchlist, wait for an offer and then typically make a lower counter-offer. Most of the items I buy are new. The strategy has gotten me some amazing deals on brand name clothes.   I will also admi to being a Talbot's Girl and all these are Talbot's items. Their clothes just seem ti fit me well. New in my closet are:

We have even had them here from time to time I am afraid.   The rights of Free Speech actually carry a weighty responsibility to take the consequences of making that speech and it is that responsibility where the persons making the FREE hateful statements break down.  They insist that the Right shields them from the consequences, but it makes them all the more liable for them in reality.

When and if a post is removed here, there is always a PM to the poster to explain the action and offer them an opportunity to amend the post to align with T&C's (if possible).     Certainly!  There are always those who will flaunt the rules.

Actually, Memorial Day is the day where we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.   Veteran's Day, November 11th, is the day where we honor all who served.   Here is something I found that distinguishes among Memorial, Veteran's and Armed Forces day.

I think Norstrom and Marshalls would be the top leading stores for both fashion and their collections of purses.

Welcome to TGP, Amy! You'll find many like-minded people here as well as tons of information. Don't worry about trying to describe yourself. Relax, ask questions, and join in where you feel comfortable.    I started out like you, crossdressing in private, even hiding it from my wife, before coming to the realization that it was much more. I'm still only out to my wife, therapist and priest.....and, of course, everyone here. We all understand how difficult it can be to find oneself amid the emotions and challenges.    We are each unique yet share many commonalities.    We're glad you found us!

You are more brave than I. It's only 60 here right now.

I was doing my best to get past the fear and shame i felt whenever i went out in public so when i went to therapy and later to my doctor i presented as the woman i felt myself to be.  There was a policy that one had to live as their chosen gender for a year prior to starting HRT.  In some ways that seemed almost right to me as one of the hardest things we do is the entry into society as ourselves.     Of course the way you dress is up to you but be assured that your doctor is there to support not denigrate your decision.   Hugs,   Charlize

And now wearing my hiking dress/swimsuit cover dress as I prepare to kayak back to my truck.

You are right, there are no actual 'roos in Tassie, just their smaller cousins like wallabies and pademelons. Devils are really cute. If you got to see the adults in full noise, you can easily understand why they got portrayed that way in the Looney Tunes cartoons! Emus, or 'bush chooks', have a habit of sneaking up on you and stealing food. I was at an open range zoo a few years ago and was holding a bag of pellets behind me to hide it from the emus in front of me, when one snuck up behind me and stole it. I've never jumped so high in my life! I almost needed to change my undies! 😆
